  • It’s funny how we didn’t appreciate things enough before this corona crisis. For example: I ordered something online and in the Netherlands it’s normal for your package to arrive the next day, but now it’ll take days for it to arrive. No problem though, I’m just training. Now I’m really understanding the importance of friends and social contact ‘cause I miss that shit rn. I really miss the gym which was a normal place to go to everyday, but unfortunately it had to close it’s doors for a time. And to be honest I lowkey miss school as well 😂

  • Day 90 of 100. 10 days left. Back and 45 mins cross trainer cardio. Shoulders are extremely painful. Upped the weight, hit the correct reps and had a good cardio. Excited for day 100 and beyond. Still no deadlifting but may try next time if I continue to feel better back wise.

In my opinion it is a highly neglected aspect of training and general health and well-being.  There is no downside to being more flexibly or mobile.

Now I’m no stretch Armstrong but here are a few of my favourite upper body stretches that will greatly increase the mobility in your chest, shoulders, and back to improve posture, decrease pain and make your lifts better.

Feel like I’ve been MIA with the fitness posts but to be honest I haven’t done anything and I’m not going to fake anything. My routine has changed again, I’m back at work now and I finish quite late and at the moment all I want to do is sleep in the mornings so I’m struggling where to fit it in. Just want to be clear this not something I’m complaining about because I’m so lucky to still be in a job and earning a wage in this tough time🤍.
- I will eventually find a good routine when I’m in the mindset and I’ll be back at it💪🏽.

I’ve been doing this workout a couple of times a week for a bit now and I’m feeling a good pump so it must be doing it’s job😅

If you don’t have a dumbbell I’d try and use anything with some weight to it that you can hold in a similar position.

1. Dumbbell Chest Squeeze - 4 x 7-10

2. Single Arm Flys - 3 x 7-10

3. Incline Weighted Press-ups - 4 x 7-15

4. Decline Weighted Press-ups - 3 x 7-12

5. Press-up variations - 3 x AMRAP
