  • So my daughter broke up from school on Friday... The summer has officially started! ☀️🌈☀️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How do I feel?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- excited at all the fun we have planned? yes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- anxious about how the kids will get on? yes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- worried about keeping them both happy? absolutely⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- overwhelmed about juggling work/family life? definitely⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- conscious it's going to be an expensive 6 weeks? totally⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, I get that I'm a Mindset Coach, but do I sometimes struggle to keep my mind under control?? - ABSOLUTELY! 🤣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So how am I going to manage my mind over the summer so I can be the fun, calm and loving mum I want to be? Here are a few of my thoughts⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Plan, plan, plan - I have a plan for every day, using fridge magnet calendars for the whole family to see and colour coding for events and family members!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Despite my detailed plan, flexibility is key - never underestimate the power of 'winging it' when things don't go to plan.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Ask for help... I do plan to rely on people - my family and my husband - to provide help when I start to notice something becoming an issue, either just for suggestions and support, or for actual practical help if necessary.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Be honest about my feeling, don't punish myself for negative thoughts and schedule much deserved 'me' time to maintain my Life Balance.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How about you? I'd love to know 👇👇👇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • We love this baby moisturiser in the Bradley house. It’s so gentle on Ashton’s skin and is suitable for the whole family. It soaks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave an oily residue. As you can see Ashton loves it as much as me 🤣

What made me smile today was arriving in Ibiza with our friends, ready to spend 12 days having some much needed fun in the sun!
.
.
We had to leave ridiculously early, and the munchkins didn't nap on the way there - munchkin no1 was far too excited and chatted away for the whole journey to the airport!
.
.

Tiredness got the better of me on the plane, and I had to take a quick power nap when my coffee didn't kick in!
.
.
What really made me smile was how well the children instantly hit it off. They don't see each other too often, but the Dads have been best friends since college, so it was lovely to see them having fun together, playing games on the plane then splashing in the pool together, making sure to include each other in everything.
.
.
We're all planning an early dinner, than early night after a little mini disco (Well you can't go on holiday without a bit of mini disco can you?!) Hopefully a good night's sleep will recharge our batteries.

  • Travel Series: The Plane Journey
.
.✈️Clothes: The boys tend to wear a soft tracksuit with a t shirt under until we are on the flight. Pack a set of pjs for changing into once you’ve taken off as it’ll get them into the mindset of a nap time
.
.✈️Check In: Give yourself enough time as the security process will always take slightly longer with younger children if you’ve packed medicines/food for them. Keep a cheap stroller with you as well as the baby carrier which will come in handy when you are ready to board.
.
✈️Flight Times: For long haul, night flights are the best as you can try to stick to their normal timings as much as possible! Try to check in early as most airports will have soft play facilities which are great for tiring them out before boarding.
.
.✈️On Board: Don’t stress! Keeping children happy and entertained is key to a relaxed journey. Packing their favourite toys along with an electronic device and activities (see previous post) will help to keep them distracted. Invest in some good headphones as they never like putting the flight ones in their ears!
.
.✈️Food: I try to give them a good meal before boarding as let’s face it no one likes plane food! Keep them hydrated and have a bag full of snacks ( I save the sugary stuff for the emergency meltdown moments!) They will probably be too excited to eat well so little bites here and there are good enough
.
.✈️Sleep: I’ve had the boys sleep for 9 hours straight on some flights and 20 minutes on others-just go with the flow. Babies can book the in flight cots but if you have toddlers who don’t have their own seat, try and reserve areas of the plane which are empty on check in so you can make a little bed for them. If you have a cranky one try walking to the back of the plane with them where there is more space-the air hostesses are usually really lovely and allow you stay there when it’s not serving time.
.
.✈️Passengers: Once upon a time we all hated those crying babies on our flights-until the babies became our own😂 It’s a scary new experience for any child but being calm&reassuring will help them learn for future journeys!

"This is my sister Sara the day after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl! This is the feeling I wish more mums could have after giving birth. Sara is also a birth photographer and she knew what kind of birth she wanted, and she knew that the plan could change. But the most important thing, is that she had a choice. She chose a midwifery led unit. A 17 hour birth with no pain relief besides water. And you can get this feeling at hospital (with or without pain relief! ) or a caesarian! If you feel safe and respected. Try to find out where you feel safe. If you don’t have a choice, fight for your rights to get a choice."

  • Yesterday was a great day. We went to a local village fete and autumn had a blast on some of the stalls, she had a budget that she could spend up to and we stuck to it. I’m trying desperately to be better at managing money so have started to pop cash into envelopes which will stop me from over spending.

Now firstly, I am not a trained professional, nor am I an expert. But I am a mum twice over and I would like to think keeping my kids comfortable is a massive priority to me as a parent. .
.
I’m sure you’ve all seen the images advising not to cover babies buggy like the second image shown here, because on a hot day the air is unable to pass through and it becomes sauna like inside. However, I have seen this done, and tried it myself that the Muslin attached in this way shown in the first image protects baby from the sun, while allowing air to pass freely through the pushchair.
These Buggy Clips are from @amazon search LAT Stroller Pegs £6.99 (4PK) and the Extra Large Muslin is from @jojomamanbebe search Extra Large Elephant Print Muslin £10 (this can also be used as a nursing cover up, swaddle, sheet and other prints and colours are available too.)
.
.
I’m hoping this will help another mummy out there when they are stuck for ideas or to show people the correct way of shading a Pram without causing baby to overheat. .

  • My world right here. ❤️
I’ve poured my life, soul and heart into raising these three. It’s exhausted me, pushed me to my limits, it’s required both a mental and physical strength that I never even knew I had.
Then I look at a moment like this and am so glad I poured all of me into them. I have no regrets that I gave up so much of me to give them my all.
I get things so wrong every day and am so far from a perfect mummy but one thing my boys can never question is that I tried my best and gave them my all. ❤️

  • BIRTH STORY🌱
Firstly I’d just like to say thank you for everyone’s lovely messages! They mean so so much!

Early hours of Saturday 1st I woke up for the loo but realised my waters had broken. I was so happy that I’d done it all myself and didn’t need an induction, as I was booked in to have my waters broke on the Sunday. I woke up Brad to tell him I was in labour.
After a couple of hours of waiting for my contractions to start, I rang the hospital who told us to come in to confirm my waters had gone. We went in and they confirmed that they had broken and gave us an appointment for 8am Sunday 2nd for just in case my contractions didn’t start.
I spent the whole of the Saturday completely relaxed! My mum came round, my sister @lenny_leo88 came round and plaited my hair, and did some reflexology and reiki. I had a few spontaneous mild contractions but nothing was starting on its own.
I woke up on the Sunday morning a bit disheartened that nothing had started. I’d been using @thepositivebirthcompany digital pack and I really wanted to avoid going on the drip to start my contractions.
We went to the hospital for 8am and my sister @hayleyandlife met us there, as she was my birth partner with Brad.
At around 2pm we was taken up to the labour ward and I was so so happy to learn that my sisters best friend @corinnelaverick was my midwife and automatically felt at ease.
She checked how far along I was and tried to break any remaining waters. This alone put me in full blown labour and I panicked and asked for an epidural, as the contractions were so powerful straight away. In the end there was no time for anything but gas and air and a little diamorphine. I was in established labour for an hour and half before I was ready to push. Alice Olivia Tanner was born at 17:05pm. There was meconium present but thankfully our little Alice hadn’t taken any in and she was perfectly fine. We are so in love with our little girl and so happy that our big girl Daisy loves her just as much as we do.💗 we are so so happy and in this beautiful little bubble adjusting to life as a family of four. 💗👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

  • Oh hey👩‍💻💕 It’s me again, with my top 5 super fun, exciting, educational, cost effective, outdoor activities/adventures for everyone.

First of all, TGIF!
What a week, perhaps I’ll get to sleep in tomorrow 🤷‍♀️ How was your week?

P.S - Head Over To My Stories To See Yesterday’s Adventure 💕

1. @hopfarm I’ll be visiting in the next couple of weeks, so you can for sure tag along with me. This farm is super fun & provides a variety of things to do for the whole family. (There is a charge, but so worth it)

2. Baby “Friendly” Cinema?
Yes, your heard right👂🤗
And I’ll be visiting @odeoncinemas at some point next week, I’m ecstatic! Fingers crossed we’ll get to watch @thelionking
I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes 🤗🍿🥤
(Terms & conditions apply for both cinemas)

3. Museum - Ragged School Museum
So I stumbled across this interesting museum on my wild “keep the kids busy” hunts. I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting this yet, however I’m soo eager to visit in the next couple of weeks & will let you know how we get on. I’ve read so much about it & have heard barking reviews too 🤩. (The museum is FREE, T&C Apply)

4. Sofftttt Play - Coming in at number 4 is @gambado_softplay now who doesn’t love a cheeky @gambado_softplay, we are complete suckers for this place especially when it horrid outside (Have you seen the rain today?)
(There is a charge, but so worth it)

5. Last but not least “Farmers Market”
I love, love, love farmers markets. You get to purchase the most organic bits from there. Most of all, I love the fact that you support your local farmers 🙅‍♀️
It’s not everyday supermarkets, some days enjoy the tastiest sausages, the yummiest jams.. the list goes on & on.
I first discovered my first farmers 👩‍🌾 market when we lived in Gloucestershire.
The next farmers market is on the 16th August, I’ll remind you so you can tag along with us 👩‍👧‍👦🗺 Until the next time 💕👩‍👧‍👦🗺 See you very soon on my next blog post 💕

  • Happy Friday!!
This may not be insta perfect but it’s my perfect!
We have had a great, positive start to the day and we’ve all got smiles on our faces. Thank you all for your love and support yesterday, it’s so lovely to see mums supporting mums. So sad how we can all feel lonely at the most wonderful time of our lives. We have been blessed with our beautiful babies, give them our everything and forget about ourselves!
Let’s smile, talk to other mums, make new friends and enjoy the sunshine!! ☀️
