  • In a recent interview with SportsKeeda, Sheamus opened up about if there's any chance of Conor McGregor in WWE.
•
“I don't know. Does he want to do the schedule? Right now, UFC fighters fight once a year, maybe twice a year. We're on the road all the time. You get people like Tyson Fury who came in for a little bit, but my theory is this - you come in for one show, a spectacle or two, but if you're serious about doing this, if you're not just here for the money, and you want to be here to get stuck in, come on the road with us every week, do you know what I mean? Do the live events, don't just do the big shows, do the small ones too.” | via SportsKeeda.com

  • After the long flight to win the hand of Emer, the only woman deemed to be his equal, Cu Chulainn was eventually victorious & Emer became his bride. But while the two were in Ulster, fighting against Emers father to be together, across the sea in Alba, Aife, the woman whom Cu Chulainn had instructed to bear his son fulfilled her duty & gave birth to a boy who she named Connla.

Aife raised the boy alone, the only reminder of the man whom she had bore a son for was a gold ring which Cu Chulainn had instructed Aife to give to the boy when he was old enough for the ring to fit. As Connla grew Aife raised him in the art of warfare, The young boy showed all the promise & potential that one would expect of a son of Cu Chulainn so when the day finally came that the ring fit Connlas hand Aife knew it was time to send him to his father. However, when Cu Chulainn had left he had not only given Aife a ring but also instructions that said that when their son was ready he was to travel to Ulster but on his way he was never to refuse to meet a man in combat, to never turn away from his path & most importantly, was never to reveal his identity to any man.

And so Connla set forth wearing his Fathers ring, on route to Ulster the young boy encountered many men who asked his name but true to his instruction Connla refused to answer & met in combat the many warriors who tried to stand in his way. Word of this boy warrior quickly spread so when Connla finally reached Ulster & requested entrance to the court of its King, Conchobar, he was refused & the King sent for Cu Chulainn. Cu Chulainn was ordered to find the boys name & purpose otherwise meet him in battle, Emer had also heard of the boy & felt in her heart that he was her husbands son with Aife, she begged Cu Chulainn not to go but the hero knew his duty was firstly to his King so could not refuse.

  • January 20, 2012 ... Gawd, it seems like a whole lifetime ago now. This girl pictured here had absolutely NO idea what would lay ahead of her. This day, some 28 days beyond the most pivotal point in my life (at that time), some 188 days before a diagnosis of stage III melanoma and 191 days before standing in a court room before the man whom for 13 years had kept me bound to what seemed like a form of hell on earth until he unleashed true hell upon all of us December 27, 2015. The journey that would thereafter ensue, enough to make any one person drop never to return to a standing position again. If not for my celtic warrior background, who knows where I'd be ... that we will never know because, I'm a thriver.

Now, looking back, I wonder how the hell did I manage through it all ~ raising two boys on my own, all the while protecting, documenting, consoling, seeking help while juggling to hold us all together; working full time in an emotionally and intellectually demanding position; working part time taking the necessary steps to fulfill my soul's purpose; all the while working on my own healing and self-care with an innate knowing such was the only way to create the physical, emotional mental and spiritual sustenance needed for me to merely survive. Today, some 20 years beyond a vow made on August 28, 1999, I am thriving ~ much to the chagrin of many I'm sure.

What would I say to 28 year old me on that fateful August 28th day in 1999? Find true Love ... the kind that resides within so you don't keep looking for it outside of yourself and making the same mistakes one after the other. Be unapologetically tenacious and don't you let anyone break your spirit - and I mean anyone. Be fearless because you and your boys - yeah, boyS - are gonna go through some things that are gonna create the badass Mumma you always wanted. Be aware of your surroundings, always, that innate knowing within your gut, listen to it - it's this thing called Guides and they use your body to relay their guided whispers. Be braveley brave as you're gonna need to forget about anyone else doing the work for you, protecting you and the boys, it's all gonna be on you girl (con't below)

  • Sheamus wants to become the Intercontinental Champion this year... “In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, he said that he's coming back to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The Irishman said, "Mate, I want the Intercontinental Championship. I don't care who has it. I don't care whether it's Shinsuke Nakamura or whether it's Braun Strowman, that's the title I want. That's number one on the list this year. It's all I'm thinking about. It's the last piece to my collection of the WWE Championships." | via SportsKeeda

  • Smackdown on FOX averaged 2.58 million viewers in the overnight ratings. •
That's up three percent from last week and the best number for SmackDown since the Survivor Series go-home show on November 22.
•
This was the the second-to-last episode of the show before the Royal Rumble.
•
SmackDown averaged a 0.5 rating in the 18-34 demo, which was even with last week. It was up seven percent in 18-49 with a 0.8 rating, the best number in that category since November 8.
•
The show finished first among network programming in both demos. It did so by a comfortable margin, with only Hawaii 5-0 coming close with 0.4 and 0.6 ratings respectively. SmackDown also won in the 25-54 demo with a 0.95 rating.
•
SmackDown did finish below the major networks in terms of total viewers, as it usually does, however.
•
WBD Analysis📈📊: Smackdown brings in less viewers than other major network shows in that time-slot, however they continue to defeat network programming in key demos.

  • This collaboration has been a long time in the making.
Our Celtic Warrior pal @wwesheamus and Boston Scally have teamed up for the the ‘Brave Change’ Collection that will include one of a kind scally caps and the most comfortable apparel you’ve ever worn.

The goal was to create a collection that encompassed his passion for the old school gym element along with pride in culture and community. We knew our fans would love this and we think we nailed it!
Coming (real) soon... “Barbell to Bar.”

  • Here are my currently favourite WWE Superstars. Sheamus, of course, Randy Orton, was always a fan of him & Aleister Black, i don't watch NXT but since his main-roster debut, i became a fan. | NOTE: There's no CM Punk because, these are my current favourite ACTIVE WWE Superstars.
•
Aleister Black: Aleister Black enters the ring with total composure and masterful precision, emerging from the quiet darkness just long enough to knock someone’s head off.
•
Randy Orton: Randy Orton was born a WWE Superstar. From the moment he was hatched, The Viper walked among the ring’s most revered figures, even calling one of them “dad.” His father is WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton, his uncle Barry “Barry O” Orton and his grandfather, the late “The Big O,” Bob Orton Sr., all among the most fierce and rugged grapplers of their generations.
•
Sheamus: With a red-hot temper that matches his fiery head of hair, Sheamus never backs down from a fight and has never been in one he didn’t think he could win. Hailing from Dublin, the ginger-headed juggernaut brings to the ring a ferocious offensive style that harkens to his noble and heroic Celtic ancestors. Whether by upbringing or by birthright, this modern-day Irish warrior was fated for combat. | via WWE.com

  • The ancient world was a hard place for a woman, in Roman culture for example women had a few rights, they weren’t allowed any voice in terms of politics nor allowed to make or contribute to any ideas outside of the home, women were seen as the property of the men in their lives & had no role outside of Home management or childbearing. This wasn’t an unusual custom though & many cultures during the same period saw women in similar ways, however, the women of the Celtic culture were unique within the ancient world.

Although the Celts were still very much a patriarchal society, women were allowed substantially more freedom than women of other cultures, they had rights, were protected by law & held prominent positions within their society. Historical accounts also remark on these women being fierce warriors who would fight alongside their men, the Roman historian Tacitus likened them to the mythical Furies & the Greek historian Diodorus Siculus remarked on how the women were a match for men in terms of stature & courage. Aside from Celtic women being allowed to fight they were able to take on religious roles such as Druidesses, allowed to take part in politics & even allowed to rule. Celtic legends are filled with stories of strong Celtic women ruling their clans, the most famous of all being Boudicca who, after the death of her husband, became the ruler of the Iceni tribe that lived in the East of Britain.
But despite all the freedoms their society offered Celtic women but still seen as subordinate to the men in their lives, Julius Caesar wrote that the men held power of life or death over their women & multiple men could possess a woman until she was married. But although in marriage the wife would be the lesser to the husband, she would still enjoy freedoms that weren’t awarded to women of other cultures, women were allowed to inherit wealth & property independently & in cases where a divorce had been granted women were allowed to leave the marriage with their original contribution & then allowed to remarry without being judged by the community.
