  • "Your Luck Will Change".......
Going through my memories from last year, I stumbled upon my outlook on what I had hoped for 2019. As I read it, I realise I let myself down to a point. I posted earlier that I am not going to talk about my goals for 2020. I am sticking to that. I used to think if I announced my goals for a forth coming year, that I would be more accountable to do those things. What I learned was, that no one really gives a shite what we "plan" on doing in the next year. I found that when i saw no one else cared, why should I? This time I have a big goal for the new year. This time, I am going to let it materialise as it will. This time, I am writing it down, so that I can read it everyday.
The following is what I wrote about last year. Most of it did not materialise. I honestly cannot say that, "This was a really great year!" as I quote from myself in the below paragraphs. May 2020 bring the fulfilment that I have hoped from each year previously.
"2019 needs to be a better year than 2018. I am not going to dwell on all of the bad things, the things that went wrong, or the things that made 2018 so difficult. This is the time to pull up the bootstraps and make the changes that need to happen. There are no "resolutions" for me. There is a just a goal to make 2019 a much better year than 2018. Sure, there will always be the things that I cannot control. But there are also the things that I let slip by or did not do the way I should. I want to be at this point next year, and say "This was a really good year!" This is a year for more writing, photography, video, and reading (and of course cookery in connection with the aforementioned). This is a year, and I cannot believe I am saying this, for less social media, less mindless scrolling, and less useless knowledge that is not going to make my life better. I figured out a way to add blog posts to social media without me needing to actually be "on social media". 2019 is a year of reading all of the books that I have always wanted to read - culinary and literature alike. 2019 is a year of focusing on goals and figuring out where I would like life to take me (and how I am going to actually get to where it

  • “This Christmas may you have
Walls for the wind
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks bedside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire.” Happy Christmas to all our family and friends!! #merrychristmas #celticchristmas #glengarrypipeband
