  • IMPROVE LOWER BACK STRENGTH.

Here are three of my favourite exercises to strengthen the lower back, whilst also working on entire posterior chain.
•
I have chosen a beginner, intermediate and more advanced exercise so that you can start working  on your back strength now.
•
For exercises 2 and 3, you must have mastered the hip hinge. I suggest speaking to a Personal Trainer in your gym to teach you how to do it.
•
1️⃣ Arch Body - Aim for maximum contraction and effort along the entire body. Squeeze every muscle in your body, particularly your glutes and upper back muscles. Raise your arms as high as you can, keep your head neutral with your spine.
•
2️⃣ Bent Over Row - Start with light dumbbells or an empty bar. Push your hips back into a hip hinge, whilst maintaining a neutral spine, with a slight bend in your knees. Raise the bar or dumbbells up as if you are trying to pull it through your sternum, lower with control to full extension. Keep your head in line with your spine.

3️⃣ Snatch RDL - Grab a bar and hold it with a wide grip. Then rest the bar on your hips. Push your hips back into a hip hinge and allow the bar to travel towards the ground in a straight line, bend your knees very slightly. Go down as low as you can whilst maintaining a neutral spine, do not go down so low and compromise your lower back position. Stand up and squeeze glutes at the tops. The bar should travel straight up and straight down, not forward and back.

NOTE: Doing these exercises randomly in isolation won’t do much. Incorporating them into an effective, progressive and consistent strength training program will achieve the best results.

  • Transparency is important. 😂 I usually use an elliptical, but both machines were taken. Jumping from elliptical to treadmill WAS NOT EASY. I mean, that time. Yikes, haha. But, I did intervals and really did my best and focused on that. At the end of today’s workout, I was a little surprised by how many calories I’d burned! (I use fitbit, not the machine). Treadmill definitely burns more. .

How’d I make it fun? I put on some @sabatonofficial and pretended I was charging into medieval battles (it was a fun flashback to K-State classes with Dr. Matlock and Dr. Smith). #noom #noomnation #fitness #cardio #growth #health #medievalstudies #english #kstate

😁Jest to jedna z niewielu maszyn, które „toleruję” i jeśli ktoś chce się trochę spocić, spalić dodatkowe kalorie, nieco się wzmocnić i chce wybrać mimo wszystko pracę na maszynie to ergometr wioślarski polecam! Oczywiście tylko przy założeniu, że robisz to dobrze technicznie👌🏻

  • I may have just found one of the greatest gyms in the world. It big, its bold and it carries an unlimited supply of protein.... @gymchicken_112 
A fried chicken shop that was originally established inside a sporting gym complex earned its nickname Gym Chicken many many moons ago and apparently the locals loved it so much that the name just stuck. 
Fast forward to today and Gym Chicken now operate from their brand new store in Springvale to do all the goods you'd expect from your local chicken shop. Not to mention their signature dish, Gym Chickens special boneless hot and spicy fried chicken which the locals are going crazy for🔥
