  • “LOVE, D.Va” 💕 📸 @coldbluesky ——- Finally waking up and realizing that self-love and care is more than just being kinder and “taking breaks, feeling cute, and having tea, spa day and facials, etc”.... but in actuality is pushing yourself to your fullest potential. my new goal: STOP making excuses and just fucking do it. Realize my worth and love myself by recognizing what I’m capable of. I love D.Va because she’s confident and she knows she’s a fucking badass.   • #transformationtuesday for my D.Va cosplay. Same costume, improved me. ———— Left: binge eating, anxiety attacks, toxic friendships, and low self confidence. Right: better at posing 😂, better lighting and photography, higher self esteem, spends a lot of time alone (focusing on MY GOALS) or with a supportive/motivating social circle, more confident, better lifestyle. Honestly, I’ve come a long ass way since then. Yes, I accomplished a shit ton, but I’m still determined to keep sculpting a better me. Friendly reminder to just keep going 💕

  • A lot of times people ask me why I love D.Va so much (and love to cosplay her or wear her merch). Despite not playing Overwatch anymore, or being a D.Va main she is one of my favourite video game characters because of her passion, resilience and positivity - all things that I try so hard to express in my life (even when I struggle to through my insecurities). . . When Blizzard unveiled her backstory and PTSD, it made me extremely emotional because of how much her inner pain and strength personally touched me, mirroring the pain I still carry today from child abuse, rape and sexual assault. . . I honestly never thought I would get to live my life loving a character this much, and connecting with so deeply. D.Va is like a soul sister to me, as silly as that sounds. Her struggles have helped her become stronger, and will always remind me to continue fighting whilst being a positive force. . . If you or someone you know has PTSD and has struggled with the pain of sexual assault or abuse - you are NEVER alone. There are many resources and spaces out there that strive to offer a safe space. You can live a normal life, and accomplish whatever you put your mind to.
