  • Long Post! Open for more! (Promise, it's worth it)

So, I've been meaning to write this for a while. This showed up in the mail a little while back. A few inches of thread and fabric. But damn what a haul to get there! Because I'm an unrepentant nerd, I pulled together some numbers: - 6,381 road miles traveled for labs, clinicals, and exams.
- 118.5 hours of drive time.
- 212.75 hours on-site.
- 500+ hours in the books or going blind on Brady
- 40+ hours running hip pocket scenarios wherever the hell we were to stay sharp.
- 1 passing attempt at the NREMT written and practical.

But it's more than the numbers, it's the community of providers, instructors and people willing to share their knowledge. So here's to all of you who made me a better provider:
@mazingmccarthy - Ride or Die partner, let's get it done.
@grs100 - Because you can't do until you can teach.
@coreyfunk_usaf_2011 - For trading those "hey, you got a minute?" calls at all hours.
@lesilverkitsune - For constantly being willing to let me re-run everything again.
@atcemsmedics - Doc Pickett, your podcast literally handed me one of the best catches I could have asked for.
@drnajeeblectures - For making shock *really* make sense.
@overrunproductions - For keeping it real.
@medicmindsetpodcast - For showing me new ways to think.

And under the "iron sharpens iron" category:
@oafnation_actual, @precisiontacmed, @nardoctor, @northamericanrescue, @savageparamedics, @havokjournal, @goombahsguns

All of you were instrumental in making me not just a bare minimum provider, but teaching me how to think and act critically, every time, when it counts.

And to those incredible nurse and paramedic preceptors. You have taught me more than you'll ever know. Especially a certain pack of ED nurses at a particular critical access shop that run the best 5 beds in 6 counties - you were all the difference.

It takes a village folks, never eat your young.
