  • Me encanta sacar fotos de fachadas de negocios... no será el octavo arte pero me da la paz que fotografiar gente o calles llenas de peatones y autos no me da.

  • You’ll always find us in artisan markets ✨

The Quebrada de Humahuaca region has long been an economic and cultural crossroad, and is still home to a large group of artisans. It’s surrounded by the most vibrant mountain range and filled with equally as colourful textiles and pottery.

Do you pick up handcrafts while travelling?

We hardly buy anything on the road but can’t resist looking at rugs and ceramics. On an eight-month trip this meant that we ended up with a ridiculous amount of luggage (props to Jace for carrying it around), but it has been so nice to bring some small things home as gifts.

Swipe for the dusty street view 🌞

  • The Painter’s Palette 🌞
•
We kept coming back to Purmamarca. It’s such a tiny town but the colours around it are mesmerising, and they look completely different as the light changes throughout the day.

Every time we visited we were on the lookout for this view; we’d heard about a short hike on the edge of town but always struggled to find any obvious start to it. Eventually we spotted it next to a bin and climbed over a fence and a road to get there.

Despite a run-down wooden box asking for money to maintain the path, the hike up the mountain was a bit of death trap—Jace continued up alone and saw this from the edge.

  • The view while hiking on Bridges Island, just another stunning place in Argentina 🇦🇷
•
We took a boat from Ushuaia down the Beagle Channel to get here, passing whole islands covered with birds and sea lions.

We can’t tell you how much we love northern Argentina. If you’re planning a trip, it’s super easy to fly up to Salta, hire a car, and drive to the quaint towns and ancient ruins nearby in Purmamarca, Tilcara, Humahuaca and Cafayate.

We followed an endlessly beautiful landscape, but this is just one sunny spot on the way 🌞
