  • You know what I love about this shirt? It is super significant because TF represents a journey... a journey that this TF (Tamra Folts) started exactly 2 years ago with other new mamas to become Together Fit.

I started my journey with this team 2 years ago. I committed to 21 days of work outs and it was right smack in between Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Right in the middle of the craziest time of year! It wasn’t about being perfect, it was just about showing up in my own way and I found that I loved to being part community that didn’t scrutinize me for having one too many treats or cheat meals or taking an extra rest day. Quite opposite.. this Together Fit community gave me a place to belong. A place to be me. They encouraged me and gave me purpose during the crazy. And the results happened! Our big Together Fit virtual gym opened on Monday... and I’ll be honest, many girls haven’t committed. The reason? This time of year it too busy. It’s too time consuming. The holidays are crazy. I have lots of girls interested, but they’re telling me they’ll be ready in January. .

  • With amount of studying, practice and work I do, it’s challenging to stay on track. I decreased my exercises to 3 times a week, 30 minutes each time. Come on - we all have 30 minutes! 💪🥰 And it takes my mind away from everything I am working on, and I get a chance to listen to my favorite music!! 🙌🏻🥳

I’ve been letting the stress of life get to me and wreck my #trainingandnutrition .
I had...
✔️a 15-20 page paper due.
✔️a 10-15m presentation to prepare for.
✔️an exam on lipid metabolism today.
✔️6 assignments due.
✔️an unexpected funeral to attend.
✔️Halloween.
✔️my moms birthday.
All within two weeks.
.
So yea all these are #excuses for why I wasn’t nailing my nutrition and getting in my workouts but they’re also extremely valid reasons for skipping the gym and enjoying time away from the books.

I could have kept it a little tighter but tbh it didn’t seem to affect me much because like I said I’m my story yesterday, a healthy body won’t hold onto weight.

So here I am... perky peach and all, ready to take on the #holidayseason with a level head, finish this first semester of #graduateschool strong, and enjoy myself in the process 🙌🏼

  • **Fall Veggie Soup** I LOVE this time of year because of all the awesome seasonal squashes available 🤗 Butternut squash is one of my FAVS! .
Buy a whole squash and chop it up yourself or save some time and buy some frozen pre-chopped squash (which I did for this recipe). Either way - it’s savory, filling, and so good!!⁣ 😋
⁣
Ingredients ⁣
2 tsp avocado oil⁣
1/2 red onion - diced⁣
1 pound chopped butternut squash ⁣
1 pound chopped root vegetables ( I used a combo of beets, parsnips, and carrots)⁣
One red potato -diced⁣
3 garlic cloves⁣
4 cups chicken or veggie broth ⁣
1/2 tsp marjoram⁣
1 teaspoon salt⁣
1/4 teaspoon black pepper⁣
1 tsp Italian seasoning⁣
1/2 tsp dried rosemary ⁣
1 can cannellini beans ⁣
Top with chopped fresh sage ⁣
. ⁣
Add onion to a soup pot and cook with avocado oil for 5 mins to brown and bring out the flavor. Then throw in remaining ingredients (except beans), cover and simmer for 15-20 mins until veggies are soft. .
Then add cannellini beans and serve or use an immersion blender to blend some of the soup to thicken it up before serving (totally optional but I love my immersion blender!) I topped this with some fresh sage from my garden and it was so good! Enjoy 😊💗

With Korean beauty moving towards the mainstream markets in the US and elsewhere, it's pretty safe to say that it has made a MAJOR mark in the beauty industry. So let's talk about the Korean beauty 7-skin method. ⁣
⁣
This method has been quite trendy lately and that is for a very good reason. It works great! In simple words, the 7-skin method is a famous Korean skincare regimen where you first cleanse and then dab on a very hydrating toner (or essence/serum) and let it dry. You repeat this step 7 times until your skin feels extremely hydrated!  Once you complete the 7 steps, you then use a thicker moisturizer to "seal" in the moisture and to prevent trans-epidermal water loss. I love the idea behind this! The only problem is that many of us don't have the time for a 7-step method. ⁣

So I've come up with a modified 2-step method for the #busygirl out there! Instead of using a toner 4 times, you can replace it with a 1-step toner. Next, you can follow it up with a thicker and more occlusive moisturizer to seal in the hydration from your toner and to prevent any moisture loss throughout the day. The results for both methods will be more or less the same! ⁣

Korean beauty is big on hydrating your skin reallllllyyyyyyyy well. This is one big reason why Korean women and men have such beautiful skin! However, a lot of us don't always have the time so I figured I'd make a shortcut guide for you! :) ⁣

Note - this method has not been proven by scientific research so you may or may not see the results you want. However, keep in mind good cleansing, hydration and sunscreen is the basis of a good skincare routine. So as long as you cleanse, hydrate well and use a good sunscreen, you're good with the basics :) ⁣

  • Ich bin stolz auf mich!

Gestern war ich nach einem wirklich langen Tag doch noch im Gym. Im Moment habe ich so viele Dinge zu tun, die einfach wichtiger sind. Auf einmal sind da mehr trainingsfreie Tage als Trainingstage und das schlägt mir aufs Gemüt. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ich weiß nicht mal, ob es das schlechte Gewissen oder die fehlende körperliche Auslastung ist. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Kennt ihr das Gefühl?
