  • Wat Munisotaram.
Cambodian Buddhist temple.
Buddha's birthday.
Fun fact whether you believe it or not, inside the glass cage on the ducks (?) back is a piece of bone fragment from the Buddha.
Also this is the largest temple and area surrounding for Cambodian Buddhists in America, as told by friends here.

This was a fun filled wild experience for me seeing everything here. Meeting by happenstance of two other coworkers, I joined in with them to walk in the parade around the temple grounds.
Checking out everything and seeing the new construction I decided it was time. To eat some food. I tried to search out the oddities other than the usual egg roll, meat on a stick and papaya salad.
First up was the sugar cane juice. I know not that crazy because you can get it everywhere but I have never had it because I fill up on bubble tea or Vietnamese coffee. I ordered one after having a small sample and watched them skin and feed the cane through a machine that pressed the juice out of it. Quiet good and refreshing, you can almost assume the flavor just off it's name.

Delicious pork organs. Count me in. I think I surprised the workers by me ordering it. Mixture of intestines, stomach and probably something else. Sadly forgot to ask in my excitement. Chunks of meat followed by tough muscle and fat. The flavor was a different than I thought it would be. Not irony or that flavor that comes with flavors outside the "American norm" of meat. Was quiet good actually, though the qualm with it was there was too much of it and nothing else. Needed rice or pickles to cut it, or just a smaller portion.

Next to was the fried smelt roe, middle finger sized fish you eat whole. You could barely tell the bones were in them and more oddly enough like the organs, the flavor wasn't atypical of one you would expect. Totally imagined salt and a fishy fish flavor but didn't get one. Think honestly could've used more flavor and once again something else or just a smaller portion size.

  • OMG this guy! I’m gonna go to one of his workshops/ courses this year, I need a good challenge. He’s amazing @iceman_hof. Can anybody give me a heads up/ review of the course ? Have you ever changed the way you breathe to change the way you feel?

#myanmarmarket #myanmarwomen #organicfood authentic #inlelake #shanstate #intha #heho #Yangon #Rangoon #burmesetemple #Yangonriver #Myanmar #myanmar1love #southeastasia #iloveasia #wanderlust #buddhists #buddhabowls #zen #buddhism  #wanderlust #ilovetravelling #travelfever4ever #traveladdicts

  • Our biggest problem is to cling on to the past because we are reminiscent and nostalgic of the past. We must bear in mind that the past is unattainable. Let bygones be bygones, it's no use harping on the past.

More often than not, it's our heart that torments ourselves, causing it to weep and sending bouts of pain deep in the heart. Why are we doing this to ourselves?
It's all because we are unable to put the past behind us, nor can we see the future. That's why we suffer bouts of agony.

We often hurt ourselves with the mistakes and shortcomings of other people. This is amounting to keeping other people's mental trash in our heart, hurting and tormenting ourselves with it. There are many who are unable to forget what other people say about them. They would remember it all their lives and refuse to let go. Others might hurt us only once, but we hurt ourselves more than hundred times, having the hurtful words lingering in our minds. It's like keeping the virus in the computer which would eventually damage the computer after a period of time.

We must not keep hurtful remarks at heart. Remember, no one else can make you worried but yourself. If you do not want to worry over anything, no one can make you fret. What other people do or say should not make you feel disturbed.
