  • This week at school we’ve touched on the importance of taking objective indicators with our patients 🌿
.
Objective indicators are quantifiable measures like:
-How would you rate your energy today on a scale of 1-10?🤡
-How many panic attacks are you having each week?👾
-How many times do you go to the toilet every day?💩
.
You see, humans often have the tendency to overlook the progress we have made as we get caught up in the next thing that is wrong.
.
Patients will come in after four weeks on a protocol complaining that they aren’t any better.
However, when you actually get patients to rate how they are feeling using the same indicators, you often see their energy is low only two times a week, instead of five.
They are having one panic attack, versus four.
They’re pooping every day, instead of every other.
.
While the patients feeling of being unwell still exists, it’s important to also recognize how far you have come.
.
You may not be completely where you want to be yet (I don’t think we ever are), but you have likely come a LONG way. Those little consistent habits matter and are worth furthering the path. 🎢

  • Good morning! ☀️ It’s finally Saturday!! That means no running out of the house today while stuffing my face with a granola bar for breakfast 🙊 As much as I do love granola bars, it’s nice sometimes to just sit down and enjoy a bowl of granola for breakfast 🥣 I’ve spent years trying to find the best granola out there, but have never found one that had the right amount of crunch and flavour without containing a crazy amount of sugar. Sooo I decided to make my own and I’m lovin’ it! 😍 It’s so easy and simple and you can customize it however you like!

Here we have a Maple Walnut Granola! The hearty taste of oats, crunch from the toasted walnuts and a little bit of sweetness from the maple syrup 🍯, topped with milk and my favourite toppings 🥜🍇🍐, is a great way to start my day!

  • Such a deliciously vibrant mixed berry & avocado smoothie bowl today. 
1 small avocado
1/2 cup frozen blackberries 
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen scoop able açaí 
3 tbsp blueberry almond yoghurt
3 un-sulphured dried apricots 
Blend until pink/purple
Spoon into bowl, top with granola, yog, berries, a drizzle of almond butter, dark choc chunks & a chocolate drizzle too. Have a great day ❤️

  • BLUEBERRY & VANILLA OATS // A big Saturday leg day in the gym calls for a big bowl of fuel! Vanilla protein oats topped with blueberry almond milk yoghurt, blueberries, blackberries, banana, liquid chocolate, peanut butter and cacao nibs! Saturday, let’s do this! 💪🏽 Recipe:
Ingredients:
50g @momafoods Jumbo Porridge Oats
30g @kin_nutrition Vanilla Vegan Protein Powder
5g @organicburst Maca Powder (optional)
250ml @alpro Unsweetened Almond Milk
40g @nushfoods Blueberry Almond M.lk Yog
15g @pipandnut Smooth Peanut Almond Butter 
10g @sweetfreedomuk Liquid Choc Shot
5g @naturya Cacao Nibs
80g banana 
Blueberries & Blackberries

Method:
Heat the oats and almond milk in a pan for 3-4 mins on a low heat. Stir in the protein powder and maca (optional) once off the heat. Top with all the other ingredients above.
