  • Dove's campaign for real beauty continues to evolve and no doubt inspire other brands.  I am 100% sure that it's launch was a catalyst for healthier models on catwalks, inclusivity in fashion/beauty editorials and the body positivity movement we see today.

Seeing how they have used this platform over the years is a real treat and I am particularly inspired by the brands participation in the #crowncoalition, alongside civil rights and advocacy groups, pushing through the @thecrownact in order to make it illegal to discriminate against a person for their hair texture or style. This campaign is an amazing example of brand purpose, it fits well with the @Dove brand as they sell shampoos and is completely in synch with their Campaign for Real Beauty platform.

Mathew Cherry voiced his support for the Crown Act during his Oscars acceptance speech for the glorious animated short Hair Love which celebrates natural hair.

Love it and hope we see this effort rolled out in the UK.  We need it!

  • Happy Friday folks. It’s been a crazy busy week...and as much as it’s been great getting back into the swing of work after half term, I didn’t quite get through everything I wanted to.

This feature periodically provides you with a list of second degree connections that contain your desired keyword in their headline. Both can arguably claim each others' essence as one of their own several key selling messages, but not their brand essence. Their heart and soul.
