  • Mi trabajo consiste en crear una identidad para tu marca, darle un estilo propio que refleje el alma de tu empresa, un universo gráfico único que haga diana en el corazón de tus clientes. 
Como una marca es un todo, también te ayudo a pincelar una estrategia de marca básica focalizada en el sentido. ~
Así que a demás del diseño de la identidad de tu marca (logo, paleta de color, tipografías, patrones o texturas, iconos, estilo de maquetación etc.):
~
+ te entrego una guía de estilo (o un brand board, según el pack que elijas) que reúne las claves visuales de tu marca y explica como usar todos los elementos gráficos para que tu marca brille. ~
+ y también un documento de estrategia de marca que reúne:
~
· Cuál es la esencia de tu marca y qué palabras clave la expresan
· Qué es aquello que te hace destacar
· Discernir quién es tu cliente ideal

  • If I could give 1 person their ah-ha moment, or the motivation that kick in the butt to follow your dream in life instead of staying stagnant because “comfort” would be a dream come true for me 🖤 (scroll👉🏼). I speak these words from my heart, from a place of the deepest passion & from experience. Some told me I was a dreamer, ppl I thought were friends scoffed at my “I’m one day going to be a go-to graphic designer”. It took ALOT to even get to a point where I could say & believe those words because for solid few yrs I was an anxiety ridden, diagnosed w/ depression & a recluse. The real mental health probs didn’t surface until I transitioned from a f/t carer for my then terminal mum to realising “oh my god who the hell am I”.

I didn’t know who I was for a while, I lost sense of self- what I loved & enjoyed in life. I did know one thing. I loved art, creative design & while I was caring for mum I whipped out the Mac book at any time I could to work on building my skills (btw I had none) I didn’t even know where to find the circle shape tool. But I started. 10pm , 3am, 6am - any time I could while I sat beside my mum. Creating very basic was my therapy, my hobby - kept me sane. Other than a carer, it’s all I knew. When Mum was on semi mend I finally said f it I’m just going to start. I made myself accountable, I told the world (my fb friends 😆) & got to work. 13 hrs a day/night , every single day inc weekends. That is my reality & I did it because I knew how bad I wanted it & I still want it as bad as ever, if not more now. I have so much to do, create, make & goals - just getting started, but it can be done when you start from the heart. Don’t let the fear of judgment stop you. Pls know I’m always here if you need a yarn or help, I love giving all I can to others. Please realise you can start from 0. .

  • With #NewKoriko, we wanted to embrace who we are and where we come from. One way was by creating this secondary #Hangul logo! Hangul letters are written in syllabic blocks. So the breakdown of the blocks say: Ko - Ri - Ko. The movement and bold, block shapes of a non-romanized language is also so aesthetically satisfying 🤓

  • Full branding concept for Blushr - an online e-commerce brand dedicated to custom matching makeup to customer’s skin types and skin tones. For this project I created a range of custom brand icons that could be used across social media, as well a colour palette that was fun and cheeky, but still accessible to more mature audiences. Overall, we have a pretty stylish brand identity with cute and quirky icons and motifs to represent the brand in a unique and memorable way. .

When the client first approached me for this project, they had come with negative experiences from a previous designer. They were worried about what would happen if they didn’t like the outcomes that we created at the end of the project. I reassured them that my process involves several steps before and during the creation of the designs that ensures we are all on the same page at all times, and that their own visions and goals are taken into account so that the final outcome is something that they love on a personal level, and that also works perfectly for their business, industry and audience. We go through a few steps of research and planning where we discuss colour palette ideas, logo ideas, and anything else that would make our brand identity stand out. We then have 2 development rounds for the designs, with 2 complete concepts presents. If the concepts in the first round didn’t quite hit the mark, then we look at new concepts in the second round as well. Having this breathing room to try out design styles and refine it until it reflects the identity and goals of the brand is extremely beneficial in creating an effective outcome. The outcome should be something that isn’t just great for the business, but that the client adores as well. It’s their business, and their passion, and so their thoughts and comments should be considered at all times, and blended with the expertise and experience of a designer for the strongest results. .

So here’s my advice: STOP FOCUSING ON DUMB SHIT!! Next time you do, go workout, get some retail therapy, or talk to a friend who can help you remember that your energy is best spent on what really matters! 🥂

I see people coming up with 'design is not art'  and i wonder, is there a genuine backing for this school of thought? Or has 'art'  fully replaced the word 'aesthetics'? ⁣

In as much as we want to quickly defend ourselves as regards our assumptions about aesthetics, we must also note that the concept 'aesthetics'  is from a philosophical school of thought and it shouldn't be reduced to mere 'pretty things'. It's a broad concept and it's influenced by many factors, all under the 'nature' and 'nurture' umbrella. ⁣

As designers, our first job is to proffer solutions to problems and the process is methodological but at the same time, our subconscious choice of typography, colour and systems usage in design all stems from our artistic thoughts, a subjective component that goes way beyond the objective reports. ⁣
⁣
In short, design is an art that proffer solutions to specific problems. ⁣
