Am I consistently getting enough sleep?⁣

Am I lifting with good form?⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣.
Am I taking deloads every 4-6 weeks? (this is applicable in stage 2 onwards only)⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣.
Am I avoiding anything else which might be impacting my recovery (eg. consuming large amounts of alcohol at the weekend?)⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Many woman are afraid to lift heavy as they are afraid of getting bulky. When I was younger, I used to think the same!

But by lifting weights you will be adding great shape to your body not necessarily making it bigger. So it’s the best way to get that ‘toned’ hourglass look everyone seeks!

And if you do want to make it bigger... then this comes from an excess in calories.

If your not eating more calories than you expend in a day you will not gain a ton of muscle growth.

Don’t worry girls you won’t wake up one day with bodybuilder ‘insta’ muscles.

So why not benefit from weight training, be consistent, and create the shape to your body that you really want?

It can be intimidating at first to jump in the weights room, so perhaps it’s best to get advice from a PT to help with form and tailor a training program that works best for you.

So always remember when your lifting those weights that by pushing hard you are not going to get bulky. In fact tell yourself your building strength, confidence and a better butt! 💕

  • Pre And Post Natal Fitness! 
Single leg stability ball lunge.👶🏻
A great way to work your glutes, quads, hip abductors & all the while using your core for stabilisation! ✅
Advisable in trimesters 1,2 & post pregnancy. 👶🏻
- Rest your right foot on the ball.
- Place your hands on your hips or out in front of you. Keep your back straight & brace your core.
- Roll the ball out & bend your left knee forward making sure it doesn’t move beyond your toes.
- Hold this for 3-5 seconds. Engage your left glute, drive back up using your left heel back to your starting position. ✅
- perform 10 reps on each leg or switch legs after each rep. ✅
- 
You should not hold your breath throughout this exercise & always discontinue exercise if told to by your general practitioner or midwife. ✅

    - Roll the ball out & bend your left knee forward making sure it doesn’t move beyond your toes.
    - Hold this for 3-5 seconds. Engage your left glute, drive back up using your left heel back to your starting position. ✅
    - perform 10 reps on each leg or switch legs after each rep. ✅

    You should not hold your breath throughout this exercise & always discontinue exercise if told to by your general practitioner or midwife. ✅
