  • It seems so simple to just acknowledge our feelings and move on. But the mental nod to our felt state is often not enough. We truly need to be with our felt sense; the burning fury of our anger or the energy zapping sinking of despair. We need to go within our physiology, find it, feel it and embody it as it moves through the cells of our being. .
The energy doesn’t even need to be uncomfortable for the tendency to bypass to show up. Even unfamiliar sensations tend to be avoided, like rest or ease and even love. When we have spent most of our time in activation and we are called into the soft spaces it can feel unsafe to be and so we keep going. .
The beauty of building capacity is that we can go as slow as we like. We can spend 1 second in anger and come out again by deliberately shifting our focus into an activity or object. In fact when we are learning to build capacity going into and coming out of it is the first skill we learn before we start to spend more time in any aspect of our being. .
So go slow, find your feet, step in and step out and if you need a hand to find your way I am here for you 🙏

  • When it comes to exercising I love to change things up and keep it exciting. Some call it adventures, I call it a short attention span haha. Because of this I have gone through every phase and tried pretty much every type of exercise from the treadmill, to weight lifting, to exercise videos in my basement, to Pilates, to yoga, kickboxing, cycling,  running (that one didn’t last long), HIIT, and all other forms in between. The one constant in all of these different things I have tried is that, for the most part, I have done it alone. Which, in all honestly I’ve been totally okay with. However, lately some friends and I have started taking hot yoga and cycling classes together a couple times a week and I love it! I have discovered new motivation and encouragement from being able to workout alongside other ladies who are working their hardest. We are able to share in the embarrassment of sweating like pigs in hot yoga, and send those knowing glances of “what the heck?!” when the cycle instructor ‘encourages’ us to turn up the resistance. Haha there is something beautiful and fun about a group of ladies all empowering each other through the uncomfortable moments to grow! So while I have tried all sorts of different types of exercise, I can say that nothing quite beats sweating and laughing with friends who accept, love and challenge one another! Who are the ladies who encourage you most? Whether that be in health and fitness, your walk with God, or who just make you laugh so hard your abs are sore for days? Tag them below!

  • So happy I got visit @body__alive this morning and see everyone! And get a workout in with @mike_tebo18 . We hit some chest and did quite a few sets of flat bench trying to go as heavy as possible. Then ofcourse I had to get my picture taken with my banner 💪. Can't wait to go back Monday morning and get a workout in with mr. Donnelly before my flight back home!

  • Did some biceps and triceps today! I was feeling really strong. I had 40 lbs on the bicep curls in the clip posted! November 10th here I come! My mindset is that I'm gonna win. And worst case scenario is that I'm gonna win!

  • Arms are coming in a little😁. I was pressed for time this morning but was still able to get a decent workout in before I had to be to work. I got to the gym at 7:30 and left at 8:30. So here's what I did with the short amount of time I had.

I did 3 sets of 10 reps for each exercise. Preacher curls superset with a bicep curl machine.
.
Tricep push-down w/ rope superset with tricep push-down w/ straight bar. These two exercises may work the same muscles but focus on different parts of the tricep. The rope will isolate the lateral head more while and straight bar isolates the long head more!
.
Bicep cable curls.
.
And finish it off with some skull crushers!
.

I just wanna say what a crazy and exciting year it's been for me! Never in a million years did I think I would be this healthy. As well as be an inspiration to so many. Thank you so much to everyone that has helped me get to where I am today and supported and followed my journey. Ya'll truly are wonderful people!

I also want to say to all the people starting their new years resolution of going to the gym. Don't be discouraged cause everyone has to start somewhere! Give your best effort and get the results you want!
.
As for the gym veterans. If you see someone who is new and is doing something wrong. Don't make fun of them or record them and post it on fb or Instagram. Put the ego aside and help them out. Show them the right way and let's build a bigger community!

  • What an amazing experience today! I placed 4th in my novice class and 5th in my open! Thank you to everyone that came out to support me and thank you everyone for the love and support online! .
Did I do as well as I wanted to? No. But I'm very happy with how I did for my first show! It only makes me want to do better next time! I didn't get 1st place but I sure as hell won.😁 I got feedback from the judges to know what I need to do to do better. I'm gonna bulk up a bit and compete again next year.
