  • ¿Te recomendaron iniciar a los 4 o 5 meses la 🥣 alimentación complementaria?

Te explico porque es importante esperar a los 6 meses 🤭. Para poder ingerir alimentos diferentes a la leche tu baby tiene que alcanzar cierta madurez a nivel Neurológico, renal, gastrointestinal e inmune.

Se requiere además adquirir ciertas destrezas psicomotoras que les permitan manejar y tragar de forma segura los 🥦.
⠀⠀
Sabemos que cada Niño se desarrolla q su ritmo, aún así estos cambios ocurren al rededor de los 6 meses, se requiere:
✔️Que demuestre un interés activo por los alimentos.
✔️la desaparición del reflejó de extensión.
✔️ser capaz de tomar la comida con la mano y llevarla a la boca.
✔️mantenerse sentado con apoyo.

¿Qué pasa si empiezan demasiado pronto?
Puede conllevar riesgos, entre los la posibilidad de atragantamiento, aumento de infecciones, interferencia con la biodisponibilidad de hierro y zinc de la leche materna, Además de que se desplazan las tomas de leche por otros alimento no tan nutritivos como lo es la #lechematerna.

No es por alarmar es por informar pero a largo plazo también hay riesgo: principalmente aumenta el riesgo de obesidad, de eccema atípico, de diabetes y mayor tasa de destete precoz.

Tampoco se recomienda el inicio tardío (más allá de los 7m) pero esa será historia de otro post.

Etiqueta a tu amiga que anda indecisa y no sabe si hacerle caso al pediatra, su tía, la comadre o a la nutrióloga materno infantil 🙋🏼‍♀️😉.

I do love having a a big breakfast!
Sometimes I have a small breakfast and other days I’ll have a 3 course meal😂

Smoothie bowl of the day
•

Ingredients •
•
- 1/2 cup frozen blackberries - 1/3 cup frozen strawberries - 1 frozen banana - 1/3 cup frozen pineapple chunks - 1/3 cup coconut water •

Directions •
•
Blending all ingredients in a blender until smooth. 
Pour into a coconut bowl. 
Decorate your smoothie with your favourite toppings!
Enjoy!

  • There’s just something about yoghurt. My absolute favourite snack. Spoons of velvety yumminess. I’ve drizzled in almond butter and cinnamon and cardamom, berries always, pumpkin seeds but l always mix up the nuts and seeds, a little drizzle of honey and a dash of petals 😉 well that’s quite the advert for yoghurt! Sometimes I stir in my Saffron compote (recipe in the breakfast section of my book) and add a little granola if I have it ready (oh and the Saffron compote and granola dish is still on the menu @holborndiningroom if you go!) What’s your fav toppings? 😋
