  • As the sun is setting, I am reminded of the view from this Baldwin Hills home. This is the view from the second story balcony.🥰 My friend Tanya, designer @lotusdesignpro brought me to her client to design the entrance, ceremony and reception...to "set the atmosphere!" We had about a week to get it done, and it turned out perfect!

All artificial flowers were used at the clients request. No, not .99 cent store flowers, we go for QUALITY ALL THE TIME!
You will find more images on our website.

Getting engaged and you need some help to pull it off just right? Or are you newly engaged and want to hire a professional so you can spend this time enjoying your engagement? Click the link and let's get start "setting the atmosphere" for your wedding! 🖤🦋

  • Hi everyone! ✨
✨
✨
Please consider donating to this cause that is so close to my heart. Black women have higher mortality rates than other ethnicities, as well as a disproportionate diagnosis of a particularly aggressive form of breast cancer called Triple Negative. ANY amount is appreciated and/or PLEASE help me spread the word. This is a small org out of Minnesota choosing to support African American women and men on survivorship. ✨

Let’s please support them and us..❤️🙏🏾✨. ✨

  • For those of you who followed me on this journey from 2011-2019, i love and appreciate all of you. You guys made a kid who had no real ambition of making musics dreams come true. I never thought that people would even want to listen to my stuff. Whether it’s 17 plays, or 10k plays, i appreciate every single person who has lent me their ear. With that being said, I’m releasing my final music project for a while on Black Friday. It’s not my best but hey if I’m not rappin bout killin people or some shit y’all don’t listen to it anyway...so i made sure i caught 1000 bodies, fucked 1000 niggas bitches, sold 1,000,000 dollars worth of drugs and all that good shit just for y’all. But i also left some parts of ME on this project. I got some of my favorite people to spar bar for bar with on here too so you won’t be dissapointed. Once again I’m forever thankful and i hope you guys tune in. If not, I’ll live. #BlackButterfly

  • Design is subjective! Some find it necessary and some do not. There is no right or wrong...you feel how you feel.

Our clients, however, want to create an experience for their guests and themselves. They want to walk into the room and feel as if they are royalty for that moment in time. They want their friends and family to say their event was the best they have ever seen! They want their pictures (memories) to be just as beautiful as they recall the day.
Our clients understand and value our team of designers, organizers, vendors and crew.
Thank you to our past, present and future clients!
Are you ready to create your experience? Click the link in our profile to book your appointment.🖤🦋

  • @becauseofthem - It feels like déjà vu for one mom in Georgia. Two years ago her daughter, Chyna Mays, graduated at the top of her class with a 4.91 GPA and college acceptance letters to schools like Brown, Stanford, Columbia, Rice, Cornell, and the University of Pennsylvania to name a few. Now, two years later, her son, Anthony Mays II has followed the same path. At Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology where his sister set the standard, Anthony just graduated as the valedictorian with a 4.93 GPA, and plans to join her at Stanford this fall.

Thanks to their parents, good grades and focus, they’re attending college without the burden of tuition. Because of Them We Can spoke to their mother, Demeka Breedlove-Mays, to learn more about their journey and to find out exactly how they were able to replicate similar outcomes between their daughter and son.
. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Our secret is that we had a plan for them since birth and followed it. Admittedly, the Ivy league or top 5 schools were not a part of the initial plan. We just wanted them to attend great schools on full rides. One day, my daughter came home from elementary school after attending a college fair and declared she wanted to go to Yale. That's when we had to seriously do research about admission requirements and costs. We told her what it would take and what she needed to do to work for it. We took them both on college tours as early as 8th grade. During a West Coast tour my son put Stanford at the top of his list. After an east coast tour, he added MIT and Harvard,” she said.

The plan worked and it included enrichment and readiness plans and programs that continued through summer breaks.
. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not only was Anthony accepted into MIT and Harvard, he also received favorable responses from Stanford, Brown, The University of Pennsylvania, Columbia and Dartmouth amongst others.

  • @becauseofthem - In honor of her work as a social justice leader and educator, the National Women’s Hall of Fame is giving Angela Davis her flowers now while she can still smell them.
- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This fall, the organization, which was established in 1969, will honor the achievements of Davis along with nine other women including U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, actress and activist Jane Fonda and activist/artist Rose O’Neill. Each of these women will be recognized for their work this September at an awards ceremony in New York.
- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to USCS website, Davis spent 15 years as a faculty member at UC Santa Cruz before retiring in 2008 as a Distinguished Professor Emerita of History of Consciousness and Feminist Studies.
- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Notably known for her work as a longtime civil rights activist, Davis is a former member of the Black Panther Party and the Students Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). As an author of 10 books, she often draws upon her experience in the early 1970s where she spent 18 months in jail and on trial after being placed on the FBI’s “10 Most Wanted List.” Since then, she has done extensive research on issues related to race, gender and imprisonment in America.
- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Davis, along with the nine other women inducted into this year’s hall of fame, were nominated by the public, judged by a team of experts across several fields and selected for their invaluable contributions to society. Their names will be added to a list of 266 other women who have received the same honor.
- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“We are pleased to add these American women to the ranks of inductees whose leadership and achievements have changed the course of American history,” The National Women’s Hall of Fame president Betty Bayer said. - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because of YOU, Ms. Davis! #becauseofthemwecan
