  • Let’s 👏🏻 talk 👏🏻 about 👏🏻 stress 
Lately, I have been extremely stressed out. I have to find and buy a new car within the next few weeks. I’ve suddenly got a ton of new responsibilities at work which includes more travel than I prefer. I’m completely drained by the time I get off work, resulting in me avoiding healthy eating, exercising, keeping up with chores, or reading. Basically, I’m doing all the things that make stress worse and living in a perpetual cycle of worry, crankiness, and unhealthy behaviors. 
This is manifesting itself in an unhealthy body. I’m also getting incredibly itchy skin that creates strange bumps on my body. I’m starting to believe this is caused by stress and/or putting crap in my body, resulting in inflammation. 
Why write all this? Because I’m inspired to create big changes for myself. Starting tomorrow, I’m going to be all about dealing with life’s stressful situations in a healthy, pragmatic way. Healthy eating, losing weight, taking care of myself and my surroundings. Nekem a főzés.💜 Ilyenkor teljesen kikapcsolok, és hagyom szárnyalni a fantáziám. A legőrültebb ötleteimnek adok  teret, és kíváncsian várom, milyen lesz a végeredmény. Próbálkozok, kísérletezem, ami jól sikerül azt beépítem, ami rosszul azon változtatok... és ami a legfontosabb, végig tanulok! Tanulok az alapanyagokról, az ízekről, a fűszerezésről, a textúrákról, az állagokról, a formákról, a tálalásról, és ami talán ennél is többet jelent: magamról. Hogy mennyire tudok kitartó és céltudatos lenni, mennyire vagyok képes kreatívan és az innovatív ötleteimet beépítve főzni, mennyire tudok napról napra jobb lenni valamiben, és mennyire tudok valamiért igazán rajongani. Mert igen, a gasztronómia az amiért igazán rajongom. Annyira izgalmas számomra az étel készítés folyamata, az ötleteléstől a főzésen és a tálaláson át a blogolásig, hogy már el sem tudnám képzelni az életemet a gasztronómia iránti szenvedélyem nélkül.
Kívánom nektek, hogy találjátok ti is egy ilyen tevékenységet az életetekben, ami nap mint nap kikapcsol és egyben feltölt titeket!💕

For the past 6 years we have had this annual tradition of Boothanksmas. We celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with my husband’s family before his parents leave for Florida. This holiday tradition also always falls on my birthday weekend and I love it! ⁣⁣

We make an entire weekend out of spending time together and making memories. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This year my youngest was sick so the hubby stayed home with him during our apple picking outing but he was feeling much better by the time we opened gifts.

  • Diet can have a huge impact on disease.  I am working on a 3rd degree, BSN, right now.  And I regularly confirm my belief that the same variables of diet and activity are #1 disease-reducing variables in a person's life that are mostly in our control.

It’s called a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and it seems fitting I talk about this as I watch NFL football this Sunday. 🏈

According to the CDC, in 2014 some 2.87 million TBI-related ER visits, hospitalizations or deaths occurred in the US. Falls are the leading cause followed by “being struck by or against an object” such as car/bike crash or sports injury. 🤭
.
Here’s the problem. If you rattle the brain against your skull to the point where it affects your hypothalamus or pituitary, it’s going to affect ALL OF YOUR HORMONES! 😲
.
All of them. Cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, testosterone, serotonin...etc. 😮
.
Your brain may heal and the symptoms are transient. But your brain may not fully heal and here you are nodding along as you read my posts. 🤕
.
This means if YOU have had a hit to the head and you realize after looking at a timeline you’ve never been well since...get help. 👍🏼

Seek out a TBI specialist, search the hashtags on Instagram for #tbi #concussion #headtrauma #headinjury as examples and educate yourself. There are options to help you rehab your brain health! 🙌🏼

Don’t blow off a head trauma. I grew up riding horses and had a few concussions in my day. It could be a big CAUSE to a number of your symptoms. 👈🏼

Or, are you still giving out more energy, than you're receiving back? Are you bending over backwards for someone? Are you settling for less than you deserve?

2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
2 cups asparagus, chopped (250 g)
1 cup cherry tomato, halved (200 g)
1 cup carrot, sliced (120 g)
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups penne pasta (400 g)
1 cup parmesan cheese (110 g)

Preparation
Heat oil in a large pot over high heat. Cook garlic and chicken until no pink is showing.
Add asparagus, tomatoes, carrots, salt, and pepper, cooking for about 2 minutes.
Add pasta and parmesan, stirring until cheese is melted and evenly distributed.
Serve.

Lemon

Process ingredients except the olive oil on a food processor until blended. Drizzle in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy with @eatbanza New bowtie chickpea pasta, roasted tomatoes and garlic. Also paired with baked organic chicken breast seasoned with Italian seasoning

  • WRAPS DE CENOURA 🥕 para o almoço de sábado. Esta receita não é minha, vi no Pinterest, só adaptei ligeiramente e já fiz mais do que uma vez e sai sempre bem .

Ingredientes (4 wraps): 200g de cenoura ralada 
100g de queijo mozzarela ralado 
3 c sopa de farinha de espelta integral (ou de aveia)
2 ovos
Sal e pimenta preta qb .

Instruções: 
1. Começar por colocar a cenoura ralada numa taça, adicionar água até cobrir e levar ao microondas por 4-5 minutos. 
2. Deixar a cenoura arrefecer e escorrer bem a água. Ajuda se a colocarem num pano e espremerem bem. 
3. Colocar a cenoura, o queijo ralado, os ovos batidos e a farinha numa taça e misturar bem. Temperar com sal e pimenta.
4. Formar os wraps, dispondo partes da massa num tabuleiro forrado com papel vegetal e achatar com os dedos para lhe dar a forma de wrap. 
5. Levar ao forno pré-aquecido a 180ºC durante cerca de 20 minutos.
