  • Avocado Puree. 🥑

Yang ni Ibu pun suka kalau buat Jus Alpukat. Letak susu pekat + coklat. Sedap nya!

Tambah air sikit jika perlu.

2 biji Avocado dapat 4 bekas x 30ml. Terus buat untuk 4DR. Simpan dalam freezer. Nak makan nanti keluarkan biar lembut suhu bilik. Kalau nak cepat defrost je dalam Babycook @beaba_malaysia

3rd Pic : Ramai momies bagi suggestions kalau tak nak berebut sudu, bagi anak pegang sudu lain. Nampak nya Aydan Yaaqub dah tak berebut sudu, tapi berebut nak masukkan Puree dalam mulut. 😂

  • Every Wednesday we get our @abelandcole box of fruits and veggies on our doorstep. I think Wednesday is one of our favourite days.
We love unpacking the box. In fact, I outsource that to Mira. She gets to play with different shapes, colours, tries everything she can put her hands on, including an occasional bite of mud as the vegetables are not washed, however they are organic. In the process, she usually eats some of them and leaves indentations on most.
For example, today she had started 3 tomatoes (finished 1 and half fully), grazed on some raw potatoes, had a few bites of an orange. This is without me paying any attention or encouragement. We do not cajole or force when it comes to food in general. If she is well, I trust her appetite, her preferences and her instinct, so food is never a point of conflict or distress.

At the same time, we eat the same food as her, or I guess I should say, she eats the same food as us. This definitely makes me aware of EVERYTHING that goes into my mouth as I believe it is only fair to share what I eat with our little one, also because she is soo curious at this age. It pains me on so many levels to indulge myself and not share with her. So this made be bake healthy, sugar/sweetener free recipes - a topic for another time!

  • 💓6 Month Milestones 💓
The biggest thing happening this month is that your child should be starting solids and also starting to sit up. At first when they are sitting they will look like they are in a tripod position with their back hunched over their legs and having their arms in front of them pushing them up. 💓💓💓 .
.
SLEEP: At this point your child should be getting 6-8 hour stretches at night 💃 if your child is struggling with sleep some people may want to sleep train their baby. I personally love the sleep easy solution method (as it is more gentle and it provides you with ways to have good sleep habits early on) by @sleepyplanetparenting by @jillspivack (sleep trainer extraordinaire) At this age they are typically on three naps which should add up to ~ 3 hours a day. (Let me know if you want sleep schedules/routines) .
.
💓💓💓 .
FOOD: at this point you need to decide if you want to do purée, baby led weening or some kind of combination. The first step that I tell parents is to google the difference between gagging versus choking and to take a CPR class. Additionally you should always have children’s benedryl in case of an allergic reaction. Stay tuned for my starting solids series. .
.
💓💓💓 .
ENTERTAINMENT: You want to continue only providing 2-3 toys at a time and put them just slightly out of their reach so they can work on pushing themselves to crawl. You want to give them as much time on the floor as possible, as well as reading books to them and/or telling them stories. .
.
💓💓💓
.
COMMUNICATION: they should be aware of their name and will turn (most of the time) when you say their name. They will also start to recognize the people that they are familiar with. They should also be babbling and you should notice them having direct eye contact with you and with others. You should also continue doing baby sign language.
.

Remember these are guidelines. If you have any concerns, always check with your pediatrician. .
