Takpela kot,  biar jela dia makan apa kat taska/rumah BS 😔
Mama letih la kerja lagi, masak lagi.. Mana sempat.. Ha pernah tak rasa mcm tu? 
Sbb tu kami ingin mudahkan ibu ibu. Jimatkan masa memasak dgn gunakan cereal yg bebas gula garam pengawet mahupun perasa.

  • 🍄 ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH & MUSHROOM RISOTTO 🍄 ———————————————————————————
Back to my usual food posts now! This was super simple to make and I saved some for myself because of how yummy is was! 😍 Mattéo didn’t eat the whole bowl he ate about 3/4 of this and I let him have a little bit of his birthday cake because he hasn’t had any yet, it’s only fair to have a little treat when it’s been his birthday 😊

Recipe:
1/2 butternut squash (cut into cubes)
700ml cold water
1 vegetable stock
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 pack @aldi mushroom & garlic risotto ———————————————————————————
1. Pre heat the oven to 200c
2. Place the butternut squash in an oven proof dish and add the paprika and olive oil and mix together, leave to cook until the butternut squash is soft, about 20-25 minutes 
3. Add the risotto to a pan along with the water and bring to the boil
4. Add the vegetable stock and reduce the heat, stir occasionally until all the water has evaporated and the risotto is nice and soft 
5. When the butternut squash is cooked add to the risotto and serve ✨

*Baba takes over the kitchen* When I prepare my little one’s meal I would probably only put half the amount of food that baba had put on my little’s plate and then I would offer seconds. But baba’s thought is a bit different, he packs it with food and hopes for my little one to stop eating when he’s full.

On today’s plate:
- Avocado with Sesame Garnish
- Blueberries
- Whole Wheat Toast
- Well-dome Egg

I think both methods work the same, but I just personally feel like my little one doesn’t eat as fast when there is less food on the plate and I can control when to stop so that he finishes everything on the plate. I don’t like it when he has leftovers. But It’s almost like when there’s a lot of food on the plate he needs to finish it fast just in case it magically disappears later 😂 Does your baby do that too?

「爸爸當廚」當我幫小哲準備食物時我很少會像爸爸這樣把盤子裝滿。我平常準備的份量因該是差不多,可是裝盤的份量因該只有這裡的一半吧,然後當小哲吃完盤子裡的東西我會再問問他還要不要。可爸爸的想法跟我不一樣,他是一下子就把全部給小哲然後希望他自己飽的時候會停止。

今天的餐盤有:
- 酪梨灑芝麻
- 藍莓
- 全麥吐司
- 荷包蛋

其實我覺得兩個裝盤方法都差不多,到後來小哲還是被餵飽了🙂只是覺得盤子裡少一點,小哲吃東西好像比較沒有那麼衝忙,他會慢慢嚼食物,還有用問他還要不要的方式我可以控制盤子上不要一下給太多,這樣他吃完的時候盤子是空的不會有剩飯。當盤子裝滿時小哲吃得好快,好像如果不趕快吃盤子裡的東西會突然不見 😅 你們家的小孩會不會這樣?

  • 🍝 LIST OF EASY-TO-PREPARE RECIPES FOR FUSSY EATERS 🥞

I’m sure we’ve all seen meal-time dramas, irrational tantrums over food and we’ve all had those days when our child won’t open his mouth to eat unless the TV is turned on 😐
.
I’ve written a series on posts on how to deal with picky eaters (which I’m planning to compile and write a blog post on), but today I thought of sharing some interesting ideas which have worked for us, especially during her teething and growth spurt phase.
.
Save this post so that the next time your child won’t open his mouth to eat, you can come and check this post, see the ingredients you have and quickly whip up something healthy.

🍍Pumpkin-tomato-beetroot soup
🍍Millet vegetable noodles (add tomato purée to make it tangy)
🍍Mix dal khichdi ( add Palak or beetroot purée to make it healthier)
🍍Caramelised banana (use ghee and jaggery)
🍍Peanut butter and chapati roll (you can slice it up like Swiss rolls)
🍍Oats idli (with vegetables)
🍍Fruit sheera (Chickoo sheera has been a hit at our place)
🍍Curd with chopped fruits and chia seeds
🍍Curd with honey topped with homemade granola
🍍Instant rava appe with sambar
🍍Chicken noodle soup
🍍Beans quesadillas/chicken quesadillas (made using homemade roti instead of tortillas). Alternatively, you can place your sabzi, add some cheese or grated paneer, fold and toast till crispy.
🍍Banana-cashew butter- flax seeds smoothie
🍍Sol kadhi made using coconut milk with khichdi
🍍Cauliflower-potato mash made using cheese (great for those days when they’re super fussy)
🍍Daliya haleem: Pressure cook broken wheat with soaked lentils, veggies and chicken (or paneer for vegetarians), add tadka and spices based on your child’s preferences, top with mint leaves and lemon.

⭐️Most of these recipes are ready within 20 mins, so please ditch that packet of cerelac and opt for fresh homemade food for your child.

  • Happy #MomMonday, we love this from @psychedmommy about maternity leave! What was your maternity leave like? How did that align up with your expectations? Did you go back to work, how was that transition? Share below with other mamas!

Given this, the little time we’re given with our children is often not what we expect.  I had these false expectations that my baby would sleep (a lot) and that I would be doing many things I used to, but with a baby in tow.  I felt unprepared for the adjustment.  It was the only job I ever started that didn’t come with an onboarding process and let’s be honest—it doesn’t always feel “natural” or “instinctual.” Often it feels like by the time we “get it” or feel a bit more comfortable, we’re forced to go back to work—that’s unacceptable.

For some the end of maternity leave is dreadful and for others a source of relief/excitement. 🤰🏻
