  • Chicken, rice, green beans, carrots and broccoli cooked in coconut milk.  We’ve raised recently that we’ve been misreading Charlie rubbing his face as meaning he’s finished eating. It seems that it’s actually because he has more food than he’s comfortable with in his mouth and is trying to decide whether to chew it down more and eat it or spit it back out.

ハンバーグには玉ねぎ、にんじん、しめじと一緒にはんぺんも入れて1品で色んな栄養素を( °ᵕ°❤︎ )

ヴィシソワーズは人生で初めて作ったし
初めて飲んだんやけど、こんなでろーんとしているものなのか?🙄 .

それともただの失敗?笑
味は悪くないんやけど食感というか喉越しがあんまよくなかった(笑) .

でもみーちゃんは気に入ったみたいで
自分でどんどん飲んで、おかわりまでしてました(๓´˘`๓)‎ .

可愛いごはん作るとみーちゃんが嬉しそうにするので、いろんな人のを参考にさせてもらって🙇✨ママ頑張る(ง˶ •̀ ̬•́˶)ง

  • When I started this Instagram I couldn’t fathom being a Mom. Now look at me. Covered in spit up and spending my free evening cooking gourmet baby food 😂 I promise this account will still stay largely adult food based but I enjoyed this project tonight so here it is: carrot and zucchini sticks roasted in olive oil plus 4 purées: zucchini basil, broccoli chive, carrot turmeric and blueberry banana. I bet most of it ends up on the dogs’ heads but we are going to give this stuff a good ol’ college try #babyfood #homemade #solids #babyledweaning #purees #blw #momlife #boymom #dogmom #cooking #foodprep #babyfoodprep

  • Hoy me dieron los últimos análisis de sangre del embarazo y me salió un poco baja la hemoglobina. Nada grave por suerte pero coincide con lo cansada que me siento. Así que como estoy un poco anémica para reponer fuerzas hoy comimos este guisito. Si le agregan carne aquellos que comen mejor porque el hierro de la carne potencia la absorción del hierro de las lentejas. A mi me encanta la carne pero no teníamos asique salió versión #veggie

Les dejo la receta: clave➡️ las especias y el hongo de pino

Lentejas vegetarianas asiáticas...
Cortar en cubos y saltear 2 cebollas grandes, 1 papá grande, 1 calabaza chica, 1 zanahoria grande, 1 morron verde y 1 amarillo.

Luego, agregar 1,5 litro de agua y 500 g de lentejas, 2 tomates cubeteados, 300 g de hongo de pino remojados (sin cortar) (el hongo es lo que va a simular la carne😜👌) y agregar sal, pimienta de Sichuan, medio aniz estrellado, gran masala o curry, comino, jenjibre y 2 hojitas de laurel (clave las especias, además de mejorar los platos tienen muchos fitonutrientes que son protectores💯). Una vez que hierva agregar 500 cm3 de cerveza negra (dato🔜queda solo el sabor, el alcohol se evapora entre los 60 y 80⁰C y esto llega a los 100⁰C porque huerve). Picar un poco de cilantro y agregar cuando se enfríe como decoración (opcional).

Ingredients: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• 2 flatbreads (see last nights recipe) You can sub for pitta breads, tortilla wraps or even make your own super quick 2 ingredient pizza dough by mixing equal quantities of self raising flour and plain yoghurt till you form a dough. I’ll link a how to in my stories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Half a courgette ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Approx 50g of cheddar cheese ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• A little olive oil (I used garlic infused for extra flavour) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the tomato base: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• A tbsp of tomato purée ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• A tbsp of water ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
• Half a teaspoon of mixed dried herbs 
Or alternatively use a low salt and sugar tomato ketchup. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Method: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1) Mix together the tomato base ingredients then spread over the flatbreads. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2) Grate the courgette and cheese, mix and top the flatbreads. Drizzle over the oil. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3) Bake in a hot oven for 5 minutes until golden on top. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⏰ Prep 5 minutes - Cook 5 minutes ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

    Ingredients: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • 2 flatbreads (see last nights recipe) You can sub for pitta breads, tortilla wraps or even make your own super quick 2 ingredient pizza dough by mixing equal quantities of self raising flour and plain yoghurt till you form a dough. I’ll link a how to in my stories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • Half a courgette ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • Approx 50g of cheddar cheese ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • A little olive oil (I used garlic infused for extra flavour) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    For the tomato base: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • A tbsp of tomato purée ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • A tbsp of water ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    • Half a teaspoon of mixed dried herbs
    Or alternatively use a low salt and sugar tomato ketchup. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    Method: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    1) Mix together the tomato base ingredients then spread over the flatbreads. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    2) Grate the courgette and cheese, mix and top the flatbreads. Drizzle over the oil. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    3) Bake in a hot oven for 5 minutes until golden on top. ⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • It's my goal to hit breakfast in bed status by the time my daughter starts school! Too early? 😆 But in all seriousness, I can't stress just how important it is to get kids in the kitchen!⁠

It might not be easy, it might not make things efficient, but the payoffs are immense. And just like the thought of breakfast in bed one day, there will be lots of time in the future where having your kids in the kitchen with you might make things actually take less time and be a huge benefit! But you have to put in the time to essentially train them first.⁠
⁠
A lot of times we think of getting our kids in the kitchen to bake with us, and that's a great place to start! It's low stress because it's not usually tied to getting dinner on the table. But I also encourage you to move on to letting them help with all types of meals fairly quickly! Cutting veggies and helping to prep them works wonders with getting them to try them! Really! And it gives them a sense of ownership over a meal, which is priceless.⁠
⁠
I'll talk more about some ideas on how to practically get them in the kitchen with you soon, but in the meantime try picking a time when you're not stressed to get food on the table, and just start letting them help you. Even just standing next to you playing with play food while you cook the actual food is a great start!⁠

There has been a lot of confusion circling around, especially with the fears of rice cereal, which was once the recommended first food. That fear meant many parents skipped cereal all together.⠀

✋🏻 I’m here to share a different viewpoint.⠀
⠀
👉🏻 Let me start by saying that cereal does not have to be your baby’s first food.⠀
⠀
👉🏻 There are many good foods you can start with. However, fortified cereal is a great option because of its high iron content, which is important for babies.⠀
⠀
👉🏻 I generally recommend fortified oats over rice (which has been shown to contain traces of arsenic). 🔸See my stories for my personal favorite, though there are lots of great option. (Not sponsored)⠀

👉🏻 You can give your baby cereal whether using the spoon feeding method OR BLW (load a flat spoon, hand to baby or let baby guide your hand holding the spoon into their mouths).⠀
⠀
👉🏻 Providing a mix of purées and solids let’s baby learn how to move a variety of textures in their mouth.⠀
⠀
👉🏻 The cereal can be used plain mixed with breastmilk or formula or mixed into other purées. ⠀
⠀
👉🏻 You can also add the cereal to baked goods like muffins or pancakes for variety and added iron. (Check out my stories for my favorite pancake recipe)⠀
⠀
👉🏻 Remember that any time you serve a plant or grain based iron source it’s good to serve it with a vitamin C rich food. (Cereal with a squirt of lemon juice, fresh orange or strawberries works great!)⠀

👉🏻 Cereal is a convenient, low cost iron source that stores great and travels well!⠀
