  • Vanlife travellers @fewdaysbetween explored in @visitbunburygeographe and found all that they were looking for with inland water paradises at Black Diamond Lake and nearby Honeymoon Pool. "We traded the coast for inland WA and we weren't disappointed!" With so much outdoor adventure to be had around Bunbury and @collierivervalley, it's the perfect destination for a getaway. (Ed note: check water quality online at collie.wa.gov.au)

  • This girl has no fear! I was showing her today one of the regular beaches I visited during my childhood school holiday camping adventures. It’s not far from Meelup Beach and it’s a beauty. It’s perfect for wandering the rocks and the beach itself is glorious! Looks like it will become a regular from now on.

  • ✋🏼 TAKE MY HAND 🤚🏼
.
We rarely leave each other out of sight and for the past 7 months we have been more than a hundred meter apart only a handful of times. 😅
.
Some may see it as wired or way too intense but we find comfort in each others company and love to reach out and to grab each others hands. 💛

  • 116 years ago when Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse first opened, it was terribly isolated. School was a 3-hour round horse and cart journey to Dunsborough. There was no electricity or refrigeration which exposed lighthouse keepers families, leaving them vulnerable to illness. The first lighthouse keeper Carl Hansen's son died in 1909 of Rheumatic Fever, after his wife died giving birth to twins in 1904.

It's still a wild little cape, but now has creature comforts like great coffee and beautiful walk trails, and a sealed road into town. The lighthouse is fully automated and still working, and open for guided tours where you can hear more stories of the hardships faced by the lightkeepers and their families who worked so hard to keep the light burning. 📸 @le.avventure.di.maddi

  • We 💙 Hamelin Bay! It's a "non negotiable" if you're heading to Augusta in summer, not only for the fine white sand, but the chance to meet the famous stingrays!

Find it just a short drive from Jewel Cave 💎 📸 : @ladainozzieland

  • We 💚 school holidays and the buzzing excitement that kids bring! This cave is particularly kid-friendly. Sure, there's plenty of stairs and walking but most kids will happily tackle most of the stairs themselves. They also love the crawl tunnel, and the fact that it's a semi-guided tour helps too.

Your friendly guide will meet you at the parabola and give you a 15 minute history/geology/chemistry lesson as you enter the cave, then after that you're free to explore. Tours run every 30 minutes during the hols, starting at 9.30am. We'd love to see you soon! 📷 @elementsmargaretriver

  • You'd be pretty stoked too if this was your view coming into the weekend! 'Van-lifer' @celestecameron is understandably excited running down the track onto that pristine, footprint free beach, what a scene!

This is Injidup, it's one of the Margaret River regions most beautiful beaches located just south of the town of Yallingup. Head along Caves Road and take the turn down Wyadup Road to discover this amazing piece of coastline, you'll thank us later! 📸 @celestecameron

  • Is there anything better than experiencing fresh seafood, mere hours after it was caught from the ocean? When it comes straight from nature's pantry, we swear you can actually taste the freshness! Who else loves a feed of fresh abalone from the waters of the South West? By the sounds of things, if you take a tip from @reefchiefaustralia and cook them in egg and breadcrumbs on the BBQ, you're in for a real treat 🤤 (Ed note: A licence is required to fish for abalone in the South West. Visit fish.wa.gov.au to obtain your licence - rules and open season dates apply).

  • In the South West, we're pretty lucky that the sun sets over the ocean. Is it time you experienced a colourful, pinky sky and listened to the soothing sound of the crashing waves off the coast of @margaretriver? We think so! Watching the beauty of a day come to an end is the perfect way to relax and unwind. After all, isn't that what #summer is all about?

  • Is it time you went searching for a secluded rock pool? There's plenty of them dotted along the coast of the South West, offering tranquil waters that are as clear as glass. But shh - it wouldn't be magic without a little bit of mystery, now would it? 💫 (Ed note: If you're planning to go exploring for rock pools and along the coast, make sure you check the tide times on a website like willyweather.com.au, as coastal areas can be dangerous in the lead up to and during high tide. Remember, freak waves can come at any time and rocks are often slippery, so watch your step and take extra care when exploring coastal areas).

  • Elephant rocks! 🐘 A place we’ve been so excited to see for ourselves since the moment we set off on our trip. Even though it was overcast most of the time, the sun managed to pop out just before sunset so we perched ourselves on top of a rock and watched the show 🌞

Ps can you see us? 🐜

  • Are you yet to experience the starry night sky of Australia's South West? With little light pollution across the region, all you need is a cloudless night to see an impressive astronomy display. We can't think of a better way to spend a balmy summer evening than gazing up at millions of stars from somewhere like Hamelin Bay in the @margaretriver region. Who's with us!? ✨🌠 📷 @dylanzchen
