- Too full to type anything, just gonna say we reminisced our childhood days and enjoyed a L for Lazy • S for Saturday • B for Brunch.
These vegetarian, vegan hot dogs are made combining beetroot with potatoes and lots of goodness.
1. Sauté 2 large onions chopped finely till pink, to it add coarsely ground ginger garlic and chilli paste. Once fragrant add it a cupful of peas and cook till done then add one heaped tsp of garam masala and set aside to cool.
2. Cook a large beetroot partially, keeping it a bit crunchy. Peel and grate not too fine. Then mix it with the onions.
3. Next, combine the beet and onion mix with 4 large boiled mashed potatoes, salt, a tiny bit of cornflour and some fresh bread crumbs(to soak up the excess moisture)
4. Finally make either elongated or round cutlets, coat them in semolina and pan fry drizzling a tiny bit of oil.
5. Serve with toasted buns, green corriander mint chutney, ketchup and sliced onions and tomatoes (optional). 6. These cutlets can be served as an appetiser without the bread.
Tip: can be made gluten-free by avoiding the breadcrumbs.
