  • I’m just a girl, sitting on top of all of this laundry asking it to wash, dry, and fold itself. ————
The flu hit our house HARD this last week and I feel like I have so much to do. The dishes behind me need washed, the whole house needs disinfected AGAIN, and the only thing I have the energy for is couch time. ————
This too shall pass, but not without getting up and doing something about it. This won’t just go away on its own, unfortunately. So motivation or not, I’m conquering this house today.

  • This is the biggest cop-out in your business...
.
...Avoidance.
.
Avoiding posting. Avoiding networking. Avoiding telling people what you do. Avoiding making offers to help.
.
So how come we avoid doing the things we know we should, to make our business successful?
.
You guessed it...Anxiety.
.
Anxiety shows up in many forms in your business, but avoidance is the number one contributing factor in increasing anxiety symptoms that will lead to ruining your business down the road.
.
When you have beliefs that sound like, "I can't do X because of Y", what you're really saying to yourself is, "I have self-proclaimed limitations I must follow so I don't feel anxious".
.
Avoiding tasks, events, or places because you don't want to feel uncomfortable will increase your unwillingness to do what you need to do to be successful in the long-term.
.
You are unconsciously self-sabotaging your business.
.
Next time you catch yourself thinking, "I can't do that because..." take a moment to instead, ask yourself, "What am I costing myself and business by believing this thought?"
.
Chances are, you're costing yourself a LOT more than what a little discomfort might be worth.

  • In my podcast couple weeks ago, I talked about the Wellness Wheel. There are different versions of the wheel out there. Many counselors and therapists utilize it. You can modify it to fit your own life.

It's important that all areas of the wheel is balanced. When it's not balanced, the ride is a little bumpy. Many times the area that is suffering is compensated by other areas. If you don't take any action to fix it, then pretty soon none of the areas are balanced and you have no idea where to begin. This affects our overall wellbeing, sleep, eating habits, weight gain/loss, and mental health.
If you have tried to fix it but still not sure why it's not working? It is possible that you're not sure which area is the true infected area and which are the overcompensated areas. You're not sure where to begin. A life coach gives you the tools to recognize the imbalance as soon as it occurs and how to fix it.
Our lives have to many moving pieces that we don't have control over. But will the right tools, we keep up with the maintenance.

  • Did you know that the most important factor in therapy being helpful to you is simply whether or not it’s a good relational fit between you and your therapist? It’s true! The most recent research is showing us that the goodness-of-fit is the best indicator of whether therapy will be helpful and healing to you. ⁣
⁣
For folks that have found a great fit in therapy - what was the most helpful part of the finding process for you? When I first started going to therapy, I got a referral from a friend who had known me for years - and that referral literally changed my life 💛

  • My most popular item, the anxiety relief necklace is now available in gold! Bracelets are also available.

These little beauties are slightly different from the original silver version, as they have a magnetic clasp instead of a lobster clasp, which makes them super easy to do up!

These will be on sale this week because I love you!

  • Posted @withregram • @crazyheadcomics mental illness feels like disappointment. it feels like a disappointment to yourself in a lot of ways; not being able to achieve certain things because of it, not being able to be your best self as much as you’d like, not being able to suppress symptoms in situations you’re expected to act “normal” in, the list is long. it can also feel like you’re disappointing other people, by not being able to be there for them at certain times, by cancelling plans, by acting in a way that seems rude or cold because of your symptoms, by not being able to give someone support when you can’t even support yourself. i’m trying to not feel that way, because i don’t think it’s fair to myself - but it’s a difficult feeling to shake. humans are great at finding problems and thinking negative thoughts, it’s wired in us as a survival tactic, so it’s normal to feel this way. but it doesn’t make it easy. i’ve been combatting the feeling by doing positive self talk. do you feel like this at times ? do you have any tips for shaking the feeling of being a disappointment ? •

  • Yo. I’m Bailey #Bunny. My brother and I came into this #crazy family 2yrs ago. Long story short, we were adorable #babybunnies and my pawents couldn’t resist. But my mom has #anxiety and got overwhelmed with taking care of us, so she found us a great new home. It was awesome but after I was fixed and #littertrained my brother started being mean to me so they asked my mom if she would want me back. How could she resist this face? Am I right? So here I am. Living my best life. And I think I’m actually helping my mom with her #anxiety now. She seems to really relax when she #cuddles with me.

  • 🔴 After 5 years of struggling mentally and physically with chronic pain 😓, here is what I describe as the secret sauce to 👧thriving not just surviving.⠀
⠀
🔴 The management of disappoinment, expectations, and acceptance is crucial and requires being intentional on a daily basis. This results in practicing skill sets such as 🧘meditation, siting quietly, deep breathing, 🏋️‍♀️stretching, etc. that combines physical and mental work. 🛐🙏📿⠀
⠀
🔴 This requires the realization that expectations can be the chief of joy ☺️. Disappointments are hard to manage. And radical acceptance is not just a one time deal. It requires practice over and over again. 🤲⠀
⠀
🔴 A beautiful revelation on what would have been my mother's 84th 🥳🎊🎉 birthday. Mom, I miss you everyday. "For this too shall pass."⠀

  • We’re all guilty of this more often then we may care to realize. However, is this really an option? People resort to many modalities to avoid life but because you can’t, and it’s inauthentic, it doesn’t solve our problems and therefore creates more problems. If you understood how life worksAnd how to produce the results you want, the opposite will occur. You would be jumping into life headfirst bursting at the seams with excitement! The AOM System will get you there and you’ll start to feel a powerful shift minutes after you begin! #AvoidingLife #The-AOM System #Escapism #Electronics #TV #Movies #Drugs #Alcohol #Sleeping #Depression #Anxiety #Stress #PanIc #Healing #Manifestation #Procrastination #Avoidance #SterlingMire #getyourlifenow8

  • What a whirlwind 🤍
Not exactly sure why but man oh man was last week a rough one for me.
Sometimes I just end up in a funk thats really really hard to get out of.
This last week was one of those funky moments. I had so many thoughts racing through my head, my mind and body was just utterly exhausted. I didn’t want to get out of bed, I think I watched 3 or 4 different Netflix series 🤦‍♀️ I didn’t feel like talking to anyone or wanting to be on my computer or phone.
Thursday I finally got myself to get out of the house and take the pups on a hike which helped tremendously. So I continued to get out and hike each day since and I’m starting to feel like I’m pulling myself out of this crazy funk.
I have taken multiple baths each day infused with essential oils to help with emotional support as well as ease my body from all the hiking. We had some colder weather the past few days too and my body definitely felt it so the baths have helped warm me to my bones! So boy am I glad to have the sun shining bright today 🌞

Just a reminder that everyday is a new day. A new day to start again. To get up and dust yourself off. So today I woke up motivated! Not sure what tomorrow will bring but today will be a great day! ✨ •

  • I’m lucky with my mum and dad. We talk the same ‘language’. There was a long period of time, we didn’t. All so different in our understanding of one another despite our love for each other. After a long chat with my mum this evening, I get this text- words I needed to hear myself. I’m sharing because perhaps others could do with the same message also. 🙏🏽 #thanksmum

  • A psychedelic renaissance is underway in medical research as certain taboo drugs return to the hands of doctors and researchers after decades in the wilderness. Once considered illicit, with no medical value, these psychedelic compounds are now being legitimately evaluated by scientists and revolutionizing how we practice medicine. Ketamine among others are part of this renaissance. .

Ketamine among others are part of this renaissance. .

  • 🙏🏻 P E A C E W I T H I N 🙏🏻 Peace Within was the first body mist I formulated way back in 2012. I was in the depth of anxiety and Insomnia and was leaning more and more into plant medicine to help support my mental and emotional health. I began blending different essential oils together and finally settled on Bergamot, Clary Sage, Sweet Orange and Cedarwood being the blend that supported me the best. Thus Peace Within was born ✨

Body mists are great for their portability benefits. They can easily travel in your purse/car/ diaper bag so you always have support on hand. Our body mists are retailed in 60ml and 118ml spray bottles. Looking for a smaller/bigger size? No worries, just shoot us an email info@lunaroseremedies.com and we can arrange that for you.

  • DID YOU KNOW? 😩Stress causes the release of #cortisol into the blood...once cortisol is released it stays in your body for at least 24 hours. 😩Excess cortisol spikes the blood sugar, leading to crashes, hunger and mood swings 😩Excess cortisol weakens the #immunesystem and makes your body less capable of combating everything from common #viruses to more malicious #pathogens 😩Stress reduces the production of key #neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine. It also halts the production of new brain cells. No wonder stress interferes with your #sleep and can lead to #depression when prolonged! 😰 😩Excess cortisol reduces the #absorption of key #vitamins and #minerals in our diet. So even maintaining the same healthy habits will result in less nutrition for your body! 😩Maybe worst of all...prolonged stress response cause systemic #inflammation. Inflammatory response is linked to almost every health concern you can name - from #autoimmune disease to neurodegenerative disorders ❤️ Stress is a BIG challenge for all of us! I have found a supplement system that has helped me so much with the side effects of stress and Cortisol! I would love to share my success. DM me and let’s visit

  • Up for the week... third time reading this. This and Dr. Claire Weeks (highly recommend) writings are probably the greatest tools that helped me get through last year. There’s an app and Facebook group that accompanies the book. I recommend it all the time and will continue to do so. If you’re anxiously wired, check this out! Accept and allow... •

  • Still a super fan nerd. This is going to be a pretty deep post for such a pointless photo, but oh well. I think we all have a dozen or so versions of ourselves, our current version and all the ways we were before, and sometimes we feel insecure if a version of us from the past is coming out -- like if we're watching cartoons on a Saturday morning instead of watching cable news. Or if you get an urge to wear guyliner even though it's been 10 years since your emo phase. But my theory is that we don't grow out of past versions. They simply become parts of us, and there's nothing wrong with older parts of our personality coming out. I live with anxiety everyday, and a big part of it is worrying that someone won't approve of the parts of me that aren't considered "age appropriate." Like the part of me that was leading the way when I decided to decorate my living room in Marvel posters and Buffy merch. Sometimes even the part of me that lives vicariously through Lady Gaga. (Can you believe I'm actually afraid to tell people who aren't Gaga fans that I've seen her 18 times?) I think the healthiest option is to be honest about the parts of me that I feel separate me from others. It's hard for me to kick the anxiety and do that everyday, but how can you find people you have a lot in common with if you're too busy trying to hide the things about yourself that other people might judge?

  • 😌 Are you in recovery and still don’t feel comfortable in your own skin? .

I understand completely! I felt this way for many years in recovery myself. .

There’s a solution to this and it’s all about doing your deeper trauma work!
.

I know, that may sound scary but its really all about working with your nervous system!
.

It's about learning to attend and befriend all the parts of ourselves that may be feeling “uncomfortable” and learning to be with them in a new way! .

In fact, I bet you didn’t even know you have many “parts” that make up who you are… did you..? Well you do and its very freeing when we can create separation and space from these parts so we can experience more freedom and peace! .

I can say without hesitation that when we don’t do our deeper work we tend to only create more suffering and it prolongs the journey to healing the relationship with ourselves. After all its our birth right to feel comfortable in you own skin. . ❗️👉🏼Ps: If this hits home for you then I imagine there is part of you ready to do your deeper trauma work in recovery. I have two spots left in my current program and I welcome you to click the link in my bio @mikegovoni and complete the type form so we can connect on a complementary call. The time for change is NOW! I look forward to hearing from you! with compassionate support, Mike

  • Relational trauma happens in the context of close attachment relationships, usually when there is an imbalance of power. ⁣
⁣
In other words, it is likely to happen in our primary relationships with either parent, caregivers, guardians, or those with authority and great control over us. ⁣
⁣
Relational trauma are events or situations that happen more than once & usually over a period of time, making it also, usually, cumulative.⁣
⁣
But what makes these relational experiences traumatic? The bottom line is this: when children experience traumas and stress, it is not necessarily the event itself that becomes the problem. If a child has securely attached, attuned, loving, consistent caregivers who can support them in metabolizing the stress, organizing & making sense of it, the child can more or less move through trauma or stressor functionally.⁣
⁣
However, if the trauma or stressor is happening within the attachment relationship with the parent or guardian, the child, therefore, cannot usually rely on the adult to help them integrate & process the stress.⁣
⁣
Or if the trauma or stress happens outside of the attachment relationship but the caregiving adult still fails to support the child in managing, healing, or recovering from it, a child will likely develop maladaptive and compensatory responses to organize their experience simply because, as children, they do not have the resources and coping skills to do much else.⁣
⁣
Maladaptive responses are numerous and varied but essentially, if left unaddressed and untreated, they can lead the child to become an adult who has ineffective beliefs and behaviors about themselves, about others, & about the world (see my previous post of “trauma shows up in your life as”).⁣
⁣
Now, as challenging as it can be to begin recovering from a childhood of complex relational trauma, I do personally & professionally think that it is possible and that it is one of the most worthwhile journeys anyone could ever make.⁣ In essence, it’s a journey to reclaim your authentic self. ⁣
⁣
Have compassion for yourself, this work is not easy. There is a lot of grieving, fear, & anger that needs to be processed but with the right help it’s is possible

  • Such a simple message, yet so conducive to living a happy life ~ I channeled this one while on the road. 🚌 Let others be themselves. Don’t project onto them. Don’t judge them. Don’t throw in your two cents. When someone feels safe enough to share absolutely anything with you, like all the sudden deciding they want to become a singer or maybe they want to leave a relationship they’ve seemed ‘happy’ in for years... if they can come to you without any fear of judgment or negativity, that is the greatest gift in the world. Whenever I’m a guest on other shows, I always get asked the inevitable: What’s a Lightworker? I always add into my answer: someone who lets others be themselves. Someone who will watch their loved ones do something they don’t agree with, but choose to love them through it... because they understand it’s their loved ones path, their journey, and it’s not our job to interrupt their karma. Their destiny. 💫

  • “But they’ve been on social media!!! So why can’t they text me back?!” Well, social media is a cigarette. A bite of melted cheese. A candy bar. It’s a hit of dopamine that our energetically depleted brains desperately need when we aren’t living our truth or doing enough that fills our cup. Our egos are the ones who twist the story and make it about us. There are so many grey areas with this because yes, sometimes it should be as simple as sending a text that says hey, not feeling 100%, still love you, I’ll be back when I’m grounded. But sometimes even that is too much.........powerful perception by @thealiciacook

  • A CLOSED MINDSET is one that is completely understandable for many reasons| is also a cause for feeling anxious | & doesn't help you in your future. So how can you change that? 👇
.
🎨@laurajaneillustrations ✒@anxiety_wellbeing .
.
❤UNDERSTANDABLE
A closed mindset is a cause of past experiences that were tough to navigate with little or no outside help from others.
.
👉Maybe your peers didn't know how to navigate their emotions healthily- so you had no good example to learn from. * not about blaming them, they did not know what we know, only about acknowledging why*
👉Maybe you perceived a situation to be all your fault, because you only had little of no facts of the situation - you guessed with what you had.
👉Maybe a tough situation happened far too many times before with other people. - now you believe this is a certainty it will happen again, no trust in others.
👉Maybe this is all new, you've never had an example, so the uncertainty is causing you to believe you can not - you've never proved to yourself you can.
Etc.
.
There are so many understandable reasons why a closed mindset is causing you negative throughts & negative feelings like anxiety, it's what's driving your train but it doesn't mean you can't switch drivers.
.
CHANGE DRIVERS Needs👇
.
👉Awareness of closed mindset - notice if your thoughts are stopping you.
👉Understanding that you CAN change your mindset- the past one was learnt from your environment & perceptions, so that means you can learn another.
👉Practice @ spotting a closed mindset & THEN challenging it. With.
.
🗣My feelings are valid, I validate them
🗣My feelings are not facts of the future
🗣What was true of the past is not always true of the future.
🗣I can do this, If I try & persist.
🗣I am the only one stopping my best progress.
🗣I am enough.
🗣I will look for new evidence.
🗣I will make a decision on what I know, & not guess from my worst fear.
