  • When I was in my early 20’s my house was broken into while my daughter and I were in the house asleep. I called 911 and not only did cops show up immediately, but I was assigned a detective and patrol unit EVERY NIGHT to drive around my block for a couple weeks until the suspect returned to my home and was caught. •

Along with my friends and family who put their life on the line daily while THEIR families are home alone, thank you to all the police officers and law enforcement departments whose hearts are truly in this field for the better of their communities. 💕 #lawenforcementappreciationday #lawenforcement #lapd #nypd #ocpd #anaheimpd #whittierpd •

  • This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Anaheim Police Department. In honor of that anniversary, our officers had the opportunity to purchase a commemorative badge. Last night, Patrol Team 6 was the first to wear their new badges that were presented by Lieutenant Yepes. #150thanniversary #badge #anaheimpd #anaheim

  • Recent global events have increased tension between the United States and the Middle East, resulting in concerns regarding safety and security in our community. • Our Police Cadets are a vital part of our APD family, serving in varied capacities throughout our Department. This week, Cadets Pham, Zirges & Romero (not pictured) took it upon themselves to seek approval to represent our family, as the Jersey City Police laid to rest, Detective Joseph Seals who was shot & killed in the #lineofduty, one week ago today, December 10th. Detective Seals was shot in the back of the head in a cemetery after encountering 2 subjects linked to a prior homicide, who went on to murder 3 more people and shoot & wound 2 additional officers.
We want to thank @jetblue Airways, who for several years has supported the mission of the law enforcement family to support one another when an officer is killed in the line of duty by providing airline tickets at no charge to travel to funerals.
We also commend Cadets Pham, Zirges & Romero, all part time employees & college students, who chose, on their own to travel to New Jersey. They were welcomed by the New Jersey/New York law enforcement community with great appreciation and are thankful to have been able to go & pay tribute to Detective Seals.
Rest in Peace to our brother, who served for 18 years and is survived by his wife and 5 children.

  • K9 Titan thought we put everything on the ground for him to sniff & inspect – he doesn’t quite get the idea of a #tetrischallenge Together with his handler, Officer McGlade, they work Patrol across our city as well as serving on our SWAT team. To continue the challenge, we challenge our Anaheim partners at Anaheim Fire And Rescue, Pasadena Police Department and in honor of our new Deputy Chief – Rick Armendariz, we also challenge the MODESTO POLICE DEPARTMENT to continue the fun! #anaheimpd #policecanine #policeK9 #SWAT

  • Last Friday, October 11th may have been the official “Day of the Girl” – but here at Anaheim PD – EVERY DAY is “Day of the Girl” which is evident by these 5 APD Cadets who staffed our Front Counter during the evening hours earlier this week. ALL of our APD Cadets, (both female & male) are vital to our department, performing a wide variety of assignments throughout APD. Our Police Cadets are the best! #policecadets #dayofthegirl #flashbackfriday #anaheim #anaheimpd
