  • I may not have a six pack or be jacked or have a flat stomach 24/7, but that’s ok and I’m fine with that! Just because you don’t have a six pack or you’re not the leanest you’d like, that doesn’t make you any less of a person. No one is going to have a flat stomach all the time. I used to be horrified if I ate huge meal and my stomach looked bigger do to the food content. I had the fear of getting fat even tho I knew deep down it was just a food baby🤰🏻(our mind likes to play tricks on us) anyways my point being is our bodies are constantly changing. If you gained 5 lbs over night take into consideration the amount of food you ate yesterday or the amount of salt you had etc. You can’t gain 5 lbs of real fat over night. In order to gain an actual lb of fat/weight you would have to eat 3500 calories on top of your maintenance caloric intake. I hope all of you love your bodies in all states even when you have that food baby🤰🏻😝 •

  • In terms of how weight training can benefit mental health, I want to only speak about my experience and that of my clients. .

Before weight training, I had no way to switch my head off. I would constantly overthink, get overwhelmed and not have any way to get rid of my frustrations. .

When I train, not only can I switch off, I feel amazing. I feel in control. I feel like I’m making a difference, working towards something. .

My clients come to me usually never having picked up a weight in their lives. They’re frustrated about many things - their body, their work, their home life. When they’re in that gym, all they’re thinking about is themselves and how good they feel. All they’re worrying about is hitting their reps and moving well. .

Will training solve all your problems? Of course not. But it gives you space. It’s time that’s purely for you to feel good and improve yourself. An hour or two a week dedicated to yourself can make a world of difference. .

  • “I will beat her. .
.
I will train harder.
.
.
I will eat cleaner.
.
.
I know her strengths.
.
.
I’ve lost to her before but it’s not this time. I have an advantage because I know her well. .
.
She’s is the old me.”
.
.
.
These last few weeks I’ve been smashing out my training sessions by being consistent. The only thing that’s letting me down is that I’m not saying focused to when it comes to my Healthy Eating Plan, as when I’m stressed I eat what I shouldn’t but that needs to stop as I’m jeopardising my own goals and happiness.
I gave myself a little kick up the bum and a little prep talk 🙋🏾🏆💪🏾
.
.

The only person that’s stopping myself from becoming the best version of myself is ME.
So here goes to tomorrow and the next following weeks and months. #sundayreflection.

  • Swipe to see the only use a tennis player sees in a squash court 😜➡️
•
No, but on a more serious note; the type of exercise is way less important than the ability to stick to it!!
•
I know we usually go into the discussion of what exercise is best for fat loss; so I’m going to simplify it for you:
•
Do what YOU enjoy 🧗🏻‍♂️🚴🏼‍♀️🏊🏼‍♀️🏋🏼‍♀️
•
Weights are a VERY good idea, but if you don’t like them, choose something you do. It will be more effective long term😉👍🏻
•
My goal this week was to do 3 sessions, I decided to use my work break to get a 4th one 🤯 only because I was genuinely excited about the idea of doing anything similar to tennis 🤩 I definitely find weights fun (they do the work), but nothing compares to the feeling of hitting a ball with a racket😍🎾once you find what sets your soul on fire, consistency will be the least of your problems and results will come 😉

  • Sunday funday 🥰
⠀
A day catching up with all of my beautiful ladies, each one inspires me in their own way ♥️ (they end up being friends rather than clients!)
⠀
More often than not i am partial to a few tears on check in days, diabetes is not easy and my girls take it all in their stride, improving their levels, the #fitness side of things but most importantly their outlook on diabetes!
⠀
I’m booking spaces for December, 3 spaces left 🥳 (link in bio)
