  • Before you can expect to see changes you have to accept that you yourself needs to change. Change in mindset, change in beliefs, change in activities and lifestyle.
At the end of the day it all comes down to you.
Are you ready to make the commitment?

  • Time for a rant. Women need red meat as much as men do. We need all that cholesterol to build our oestrogen and progesterone just as it builds testosterone in men. We need the B vitamins, zinc and selenium to nourish our ovaries, grow ova and support healthy ovulation and hormone regulation (= lighter, less painful periods). We need the iron to replenish our cyclic blood loss. We need all that saturated fat to absorb and utilise those nutrients and the EFAs which regulate inflammation and pain. And we need plenty of protein for hormone building, producing healthy ova, conception and growing babies. While training as a women’s health coach, I’m seeing this trend toward “plant-based” being strongly pushed (despite the acknowledgement that animal source foods are among the most nutritious and that we cannot do without them) much more so than in men’s health circles where red meat seems to be seen as something of a panacea for boosting testosterone and building strength - which it absolutely is. This is, imo, a huge disservice to women, many who are already depleted by restrictive dieting and disordered eating patterns, and need real nourishment - building up not further depletion. We’re told to “detoxify” our hormones with excessive gut cleansing fibre and “clean” plant antioxidants as though our femaleness is inherently dirty, when what we really need are the building blocks (fats and proteins) to nourish and repair a broken and depleted hormonal system.
.
We’re taught to ignore our hunger, suppress our appetites; eat a “clean” salad (add some quinoa or some lean white chicken to keep the protein cravings and the hunger pangs down), munch a raw carrot to bind up that rogue oestrogen lest our femaleness grow unruly. (Follow with “seed cycling” and natural progesterone, because plant hormones are so much cleaner/safer than our own) continued below...

  • Today’s lunch included something new; the leftover bits from the bone broth we made yesterday! We collected all kinds of bits and pieces from what remained in the pot, cracking open bones and scraping out the insides (marrow and bone meal, maybe?), falling apart chicken feet, pig trotter skin bits and meat, soft chicken bones, etc. We’ve seen @primalvoyage making these items part of his diet, so we thought we’d give it a try. I fried them up in a dry cast iron pan, and then stuck them in the toaster oven to keep warm while pig’s ears were cooked. It was very crunchy, and I ended up eating it on top of the chicken (with our #fatfedme_mayo) as a crispy topping. It was good! It was no doubt loaded with extra calcium and collagen. No idea on macros (it’s not a food item that would exist in any database!). We will probably use it as a topping going forward, would be good on top of canned salmon or sardines, but also mixed into one of our beef shank bowl meals, too!
.
On the plate: white chicken meat with mayo, crispy pig’s ear, raw swiss cheese, crispy leftover bone broth bits (not pictured is a small serving of cod liver and cod liver oil, also included in macros).
.
Macros: 707 calories | 48.7g protein (29%) | .2g net carbs (0%) | 54.7g fat (71%)

It doesn’t mean you have to have wash board abs. It doesn’t mean you need to be a size 4. Our bodies are different and beautiful. All it means is we make better choices most of the time. • The surface area of the small intestine is where the food is absorbed and it is about the size of the tennis court and that area houses about 60% of the immune system.
This area (gut immune system) is just one cell layer away from a toxic system, where your bacteria, undigested food particles are situated. If that lining breaks down, your immune system will be exposed to foreign particles from food, bacteria and other microbes.
Keep your gut ecosystem healthy to keep you healthy.

1. Know your sensitivity: majority of the people are suffering from stomach sensitivity and people are continuously eating the same food which is causing inflammation. If you are suffering from head ache for a long, bloating, stomach upset, pcos, hypothyroidism realize something is wrong. Keep away the milk and milk products, gluten based foods, sugar and artificial sweeteners, refined and reheated oils.
2. Feed your probiotics: always give a clean food which is rich in nutrients and prebiotics. Always the good bacteria count should be more than the pathological bacteria to enhance gut health.
Know how to eat clean and cleanse your body and remember stomach is not your garbage bin.

  • Making a salad is easy, yes even if you hate chopping. Tonight’s salad was organic baby kale (from a bag), cabbage from Trader Joe’s “coleslaw salad kit” a shaved carrot (just use your peeler) and sliced tomato. That’s it. What makes it special? The textures and the dressing. Tonight I used @bonberi Universal dressing and my husband used @momodressing both game changers if you aren’t making your own. Don’t complicate it, eat salad.

  • #transformationthursday goes out to my friend Christy!!⁣
⁣
Here’s what Christy has to say: “I was reminded this morning what this nutrition has meant to me for the past 4 years. Freedom from constantly counting calories. Freedom from stressing out over when I could have carbs. Freedom from yo yo dieting. Freedom from wondering how I was going to get enough protein and vegetables. Freedom from the stress of buying so much "clean" food at the store only to have it go bad before it all got used. Freedom of time as I had this ready in 30 seconds. Freedom from exhaustion.”⁣
⁣
Not only does Christy consume the food but because our compensation plan pays us to basically eat the food, Christy shared this nutrition last week with a friend and made over $1,500 because of all the volume that had accumulated. Congrats on hitting 2 Star Christy!!⁣
⁣
‼️OUR VOLUME DOESN’T RESET EVERY MONTH‼️⁣
⁣
☝🏻that right there is a game changer folks👆🏻⁣
⁣
If you ever want to give this nutrition a try, reach out! And if you’re curious how this compensation plan works, you MUST reach out! I promise you it’s not like anything else out there!

Next time you’re stuck for soup ideas try this Moroccan spiced lentil and chickpea by @rebelrecipes. A delicious and healthy option for a comfort dish.

She’s been confused by this one too & that’s making her even more stressed!!!⁣
⁣
Stress is linked to fat gain & managing stress is viewed as a positive tool for not only optimal health but fat loss too so ⁣
⁣
“STRESS= INCREASED CORTISOL = FAT GAIN 🤔”⁣
⁣
Sounds reasonable & is a commonly accepted piece of information, however all is not quite what it seems. ⁣
⁣
There is an assumption that increased cortisol( stress hormone) leads to the body storing fat. This is simply not the case. ⁣
While stress can be a factor in fat gain it’s not due to increased hormones! ⁣
⁣
Facts on Stress & Fat Gain ⁣
⁣
Increased cortisol can make you retain water which will lead to weight gain on the scale but this is not fat. We know that weight has so many variables unrelated to fat gain & this is one of them! ⁣
⁣
Why fat gain can occur during periods of stress is typically down to stress/ emotional eating. ⁣
Eating an excess of calories knowingly or unknowingly. ⁣
⁣
Stress can also impact sleep and a lack of sleep can contribute to reduced NEAT ,feelings of lethargy, less motivated training & more mindless eating.⁣
⁣
So yes stress can indirectly contribute to fat gain but increased cortisol does not cause excess fat storage . ⁣
⁣
Some people actually lose weight when they are stressed due to lack of appetite and nervous energy/movement.⁣
⁣
Stress management is beneficial to your fat loss, health & fitness goals but it is not the direct cause of fat gain.

  • Judgys back & shes stressed out(myth busting be stressful). 🤯⁣

She’s been confused by this one too & that’s making her even more stressed!!!⁣

Stress is linked to fat gain & managing stress is viewed as a positive tool for not only optimal health but fat loss too so ⁣

    “STRESS= INCREASED CORTISOL = FAT GAIN 🤔”⁣

Sounds reasonable & is a commonly accepted piece of information, however all is not quite what it seems. ⁣

There is an assumption that increased cortisol( stress hormone) leads to the body storing fat. This is simply not the case. ⁣
While stress can be a factor in fat gain it’s not due to increased hormones! ⁣

Facts on Stress & Fat Gain ⁣

Increased cortisol can make you retain water which will lead to weight gain on the scale but this is not fat. We know that weight has so many variables unrelated to fat gain & this is one of them! ⁣

Why fat gain can occur during periods of stress is typically down to stress/ emotional eating. ⁣

  • Like us, pigs make vitamin D in response to UV exposure. Factory farmed pigs never see the sun. As a result, they are not a dietary source of this nutrient. Hogs raised in sunshine store vitamin D in their organs and fat. 43% of Americans are deficient in this nutrient. Indoor lifestyles, and fear of the sun, are primary causes, along with a diet of indoor animals (this goes for chicken, too). Lack of vitamin D leads to increased breast and prostate cancer, depression, and other diseases. Lard from pastured pigs maybe the most powerful health food available to us. So, once again, what you hear from the mainstream media, and the government, is the exact opposite of the truth. These two are half #Kunekune and half #mangalitsa. Their meat is as red as beef, and the flavor is amazing!
