  • Last big meal of the day today. After all the exercise I’m AMPED to be having a full mix of the rest of my carbs, fats, and protein for the day 😋 
I used to be hooked on burgers and pizza. I’m sure a lot of us were lol. It wasn’t easy switching to clean foods but man have I grown to really love the taste and the way I feel after. Really looking forwards to what the next couple of weeks bring 💪

  • 🍳First let me start off by saying this dish did NOT turn out the way it was supposed to. I was trying to get those two yellow yolks to turn white like the rest of the eggs (cause you know I needed a pretty pic) and in the process of trying to do so I overcooked all of the eggs so please.... do not do what I did.
I don't know why I didn't think that wouldn't happen...🤦‍♂️
This dish is called shakshuka and it is a delicious Mediterranean one pot meal which is basically poached eggs in a mixture of sauteed veggies and tomato sauce and it has MANY variations.I have even seen a Spanish version that uses chorizo. Ummmm...yummmm
I made this one vegetarian because it's a meal that my daughter could eat with the whole family
But I have seen people add sausage or different kinds of meats to this dish as well. Again the great thing about it is that it's one pot but also it's a great way to use perhaps some leftover vegetables that need to get used up might. I enjoy playing around with a different seasonings and spices for example this one has several spices but main ones include nutmeg, cinnamon and cumin. The basic technique is sauteing vegetables adding some canned tomatoes, your favorite seasonings and then making divots in the pot for your eggs and putting it under the broiler until the eggs are poached so when you serve it up you get that yummy runny yolk 😍😍😍 For an actual recipe I suggest googling shakshuka and picking a version that sounds good to you! I would love to see which versions you all make or come up with!!!

  • If y'all need a breakfast idea - 
Something that's easy to fix is a dozen breakfast burritoes...eggs, cheese, sausage , @joses_famous_salsa (the local salsa is the best!), onions,  olives, seasoning... & doterra cilantro essential oil.

Today was food prep day and makes it easy for mornings to heat up something quick & good protein!

Usually I had bell peppers but didn't have any so you make do with what you have!

To give you an example this breakfast smoothie I had this morning contains approx 35.9g of protein. That’s 3/4 of my daily recommended protein intake in my first meal of the day. .

From the ingredients in this smoothie I’m also getting a third of my RDI of calcium, a ton of omega 3 fats, antioxidants and a number of other nutrients and benefits. .

Breakfast smoothie. 
Almond milk, Brazil nuts, bananas, blueberries, spinach, hemp seeds, walnuts, protein powder + peanut butter.
Yum! 😋

Tip ➡️ Whether done with dumbbells, on the smith machine, cables, etc... Slow and controlled with NO lock out of the elbow, this will keep contraction on the muscle throughout the lift..🔑

This is my fav lunch to eat when i know I’ve got a killer workout after work. Not only does it keep me full all afternoon, but it’s packed with protein and easy to make. I’m also high key addicted to Mexican food, and this really helps me get my fix when I’m craving El Nopal (iykyk🤪)

-1 Bag BirdsEye Southwest Protein Blend (frozen section, see pic for reference!)
-6 oz chicken breast (i use the Tyson grilled and ready)
-Half avocado
-Fat free cheddar cheese
-Optional: salsa, low fat sour cream

Cook chicken on stove with salt free Tony’s. Cook protein blend in microwave at specified time. Mix together. Add toppings!

Makes 2 servings!
Per serving:
🌱450 cals
🌱35g protein
🌱45g carbs
🌱13g fat

  • I WILL NEVER BE 120 POUNDS AGAIN (and that’s okay!)
As I ease back into tracking my macros/energy intake for the first time in a few years, this is a very easy and fun realization. I’m not dieting to lose 20 pounds, or to get back to the size that I was when I was 19. My body has changed and grown so much, and I’m SO grateful for the years of intuitive eating, and improving my relationship with my body. .
But now I’m ready. For some increased accountability and to see the muscle I’ve been building a bit more. I’m ready to feel sexy in a bikini when we go on a vacation in a few months! Those are my goals, I have a rough goal of where I’d like to be on the scale, but that is VERY dependent on how I feel in the next few months. .
(I’m also ready to set myself up for metabolic success as we head to Japan (so I can eat all the noodles and sushi))

Being candid, I do feel a sense of nervousness or shame about this new phase, because I’m a nutrition professional, who would like to think that our health is more than the number in the scale. But I’m also human, and I’m allowed to want to improve my body (how I see fit) and feel sexy/comfortable! I’m excited to share my accountability, progress, and *non drastic* dieting tips here with you as we move along. I’m also excited to hear if y’all have any physique/fitness goals so we can pump each other up 🙌🏼

“Kırmızı Mercimekli Peynirli Kek”
Malzemeler;
2 bardak kırmızı mercimek,
1 su bardağı yoğurt,
5 yumurta,
1/2 çay bardağı zeytinyağı,
5 kibrit kutusu büyüklüğünde beyaz peynir,
Dereotu,
Kabartma tozu, susam, çörekotu ve tuz.
Yapılışı; Mercimeği akşamdan soğuk suda bekletin.
Blenderda yumurta, yoğurt, zeytinyağı ve suyunu iyice süzdüğümüz mercimeği çekin. Pürüzsüz bir sıvı haline getirin. Bu sıvıya peynir, dereotu, kabartma tozunu ekleyip karıştırın. Yağlanmış borcama dökün üzerine susam ve çörek otu koyup önceden ısıtılmış fırında 160 derecede pişirin. Afiyet olsun.

  • Feeling hunger is usually the reason why people ruin their diets. The reason for feeling the hunger might be because of already not having a proper diet, but it has other influences too. You can see some of them above.

🌱30g spelt flour
🌱20g @Tropeaka Chocolate Lean Protein
🌱15g raw cacao powder
🌱150ml oat milk
🌿optional: sweetener 👉🏼 mix all the ingredients in a bowl and put in the fridge for at least 15min. If needed, add more oat milk.
