  • I’m proud of my investment in @loowatt, which is bringing safe, affordable, and sustainable sanitation to those who need it most and was featured in this fascinating exhibition at the V&A called Food: Bigger than the Plate, which sought to envision a more sustainable, fair, and delicious future for our food system. The show included a display of novel biomaterials that could replace plastics in various applications, and I particularly enjoyed an artwork that imagined a contemporary resume for a peasant, deploying LinkedIn-style careerist jargon to highlight the essential work that small family farmers do around the world. I also loved another piece that offered a trippy take on what Michael Pollan terms Supermarket Pastoral, the fantastically pristine agrarian imagery decoupled from the harsh realities of industrial agriculture that agribusiness giants use to obscure their environmental impacts from the end consumer. #plateup #sustainableagriculture #globalhealth

  • 💥Planning your Plate for Fat Loss💥
.
@sam_xceedfit 👉IMPORTANT: this infographic is to help those who are early on in their nutrition journey and haven’t progressed to the counting calories stage yet. It can also be applicable for eating out at restaurants, as you don’t always know the portion sizes. As the title says, this is for those looking to lose fat 👊
.
.
🍛There is a very simple way to lay out your meals, which should help improve your health and drop body fat:
.
.
🥕Vegetables should take up the majority of your plate (roughly a third). Veggies will keep you fuller for longer and are full of micronutrients and fiber 🍆
.
.
🍖Protein should take up another third of your plate. Protein will also keep you fuller for longer and provide your body with essential amino acids for muscle growth, repair and maintenance of many bodily functions 🥚
.
.
🍠Carbs and fats will depend on your goals and how much you eat per day. To keep it simple for my online coaching clients at the start, I will split the remaining third of the plate into a starchy carb and a fat. Alternatively, you could have a serving of fruit after your meal as your carb choice 🍎
.
.
🍛This is by no means an advanced way of calculating your macros but it’s a great way to keeping things simple and ease you into the magical and wonderful world of nutrition 😃
.
.
❓What does your plate normally look like? (Don’t day it has patterns on 😂)
.
.
👉If you’re struggling to take your nutrition and fat loss goals to the next stage, grab a free sample of my 8 Week Fat Loss Program by clicking the link in my bio 💪

  • No food in the gallery? Not egg-actly... 🥚Artists @honeyand_bunny staged a disruptive dinner to question eating habits and the values they represent.

Porcelain was once more valuable than gold, reflecting power and wealth. Today, supermarket shelves showcase power, with everyday foods like eggs representing supply chains.
