  • How much Toe hang fits your stroke? Just because your SAM Putt lab reports to you that your student should have face balance or 30,45,60 degrees of toe weight for the arc in their stroke. Investigate why that is! Because it could be multiple reasons not to follow SAMs findings, such as, incorrect club length, grip pressure, etc. In this case, one of my students who has a great putting stroke, needed a lot less toe hang. His Piretti Potenza had 60 degrees of toe weight and he needed about 30 degrees. This would help him release the face which is more natural to his stroke. So I adjusted his Potenza made by Piretti from a standard flow neck to a forward Swan neck. This moves the his hand more over the CG and changes the balance to what he needs without cutting and replacing his neck.
