  • I have some news! I have made the crazy decision to leave UBC. The short story is that my permanent position in the Office of the VP Finance & Operations was eliminated and I have not yet found a position that would leverage my skills. So I will be taking the severance package offered to me, which is the maximum possible for management effective January 2, 2020. I am seeing this as a sabbatical -- until the time is right for me to return. I will continue as a coach with Coaching@UBC.   • How often do we (both professionally and personally) resist our own future goals, plans, and opportunities because we let fear consume it and continue to do it “how we have always done it”? When thinking about organizational change, a persons ability to internalize changes is impacted by the level of changes taking place outside of the office. When a person or group resists then allow them the time to deal with the fear and then support them through the process. Everyone has their own shoes to walk in.

How proud I am of my big brother and sister on pulling off this feat for their city, our city, Arlington, TX. As a speaker it’s always good to be in the presence of a lid lifter. 
Lisa lifted the atmosphere and Arlington will never be the same. I met some Game Changers last night and I spoke to my inner giant and said Arise and Be Great. 
Will you say those words today, Arise and Be Great. 
Day 2 is here and I get the privilege of sharing the stage with
