  • Nature astounds me, when I left London 11 days ago there were still leaves on the trees and now they stand bare, sleeping and rejuvenating for the next few months. I spent the last week or so waking up before sunrise so I could watch it rise, this ball of fire appearing over the horizon. I watched the full moon light up the sky for a few nights, and how it’s magic synced up to the tide.

I’ve spent my day’s, watching the sea, listening to the waves, watching flying fish share their dance. Lotus flowers blooming in the morning only to soften and close up in the later afternoon and evening. The fresh sweet fragrance of frangipani trees hangs in the evening air as bats dance through the dusky skies.
.
The views didn’t change, the sun rose everyday, the moon became smaller, and everyday I was greeted by all of the above. Yet everyday I was in awe, noticing, feeling, being right there in the moment. More and more this feeling of awakening grows deeper and deeper. I’m reminded that no matter where I am whether it’s in the middle of winter in England where it may seem grey and dark or in a tropical paradise there is always something magical to see.
.
This connection to Planet Earth in all its glory is something we all need to be reminded of. To be able to just take moments out of our day to notice the clouds in the sky, the trees and plants, the birds and animals, you will always find magic when you do. It’s in those moments where we will recognise the light that surrounds us and the light within ourselves. To know that we are connected through this magnificent energy and in order to let it flow we must awaken to it.

  • The one thing that I really appreciate is when companies do small little things that makes such a big difference. See the little colors on the bottom of knife set (helps with cross-contamination) and the blade guard 🙌. Heard nothing but great things about this set.

Get out your large sheet pan for this one, you’ll need it to fit all these goodies in one pan. Serve em’ up in lettuce wraps or your favorite tortilla, but either way, crank up the oven and give this easy Whole30 recipe a try! Paleo + Whole30. ⁣

  • We love easy lunch ideas, and this Keto chicken salad served up in avocado halves is easy and satisfying! Paleo, Whole30 + Keto. ⁣
⁣
Ingredients⁣
6 pieces bacon, diced⁣
4 cups shredded chicken or other leftover chicken (see recipe notes)⁣
4 celery stalks, diced⁣
1 cup olives, sliced⁣
1/2 cup mayo⁣
1 tbsp lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon)⁣
1 tbsp mustard⁣
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped⁣
Salt and pepper, to taste⁣
chopped pistachios (optional topping)⁣
⁣
Instructions⁣
1- Dice bacon and heat a pan over medium heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is brown and starting to get crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to cool.⁣
2- While bacon is cooking, cut up celery and olives and place them in a bowl.⁣
3- Add shredded chicken to the bowl along with the lemon juice, mustard, mayo and chopped dill. Add the bacon in and mix will to incorporate. Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired.⁣
4- For optimal taste, refrigerate for 1-2 hours to completely cool and allow the flavors to combine. Serve with optional chopped pistachios if desired and enjoy.⁣

My uncle sent me this quote and I resonated with it immediately! I thought it was so fitting, not just for the holiday season, but anytime of the year, so I had to share it with you! Wherever you are in the world, take a few moments to press pause on life and soak in the nature around you. I’ve spoken a fair bit about earthing and forest bathing, two ancient Eastern Asian philosophies and practices that have great benefit to our well-being🌳

It might be cold and snowy where you are, but this doesn’t mean you can’t bundle up and go for a quiet walk in a forested area. There’s truly nothing more beautiful than fresh snow, a nip in the air, and that stillness that descends upon the earth in the winter. Make time for self-care, your mental well-being, and for slow moments in this incredibly busy time. You will feel so refreshed, rejuvenated and calm - trust me!😌
