  • The year is 2004. BMW's revolutionary idea of giving out a car which runs on hydrogen fuel and can also stand out as a performance car, named as the BMW H2R takes the automobile pundits aback. 2013 and 2015 stand evident to the fact that BMW is bent upon to improve the existing automobile scene. The whacky angles of BMW's concept vehicles continue their trend as the Germans have confirmed their plans on launching their next hydrogen fuelled vehicle based on the current X5 in 2022. The design which has been named as i Hydrogen NEXT, demonstrates that hydrogen fuel cell technology can be integrated effectively into a dynamic vehicle like the X5. The modifications in the basic X5 structure include the distinctive BMW i patterning on the bonnet and in 3D form on the air intakes. Zero exhaust tailpipes clearly indicate that the car's drive system produces zero local emissions. The timeline progression suggests that this car may define the future commercialisation of eco-friendly vehicles most probably in 2025.

  • Iv been saying for years hydrogen is the way forward not electrics/hybrids. Yes there is cost involved but how much is it costing to public push customers in to hybrids and evs as well development and infrastructure in terms of charging stations. Also the cost to developing and manufacturing a battery powered engine that is also not environmentally friendly due to the fact the most of the stuff made in battery's is mined from the earth and incase in plastic then shipped in a desiel powered boat. Well done bmw for partnering with Toyota who along with Honda have been pressing on with this since 2014 and yet governments and politicians don't want you to know. The reason for this is simple. Because they would have to put OUR money into a solution that benefits us and the world but not them. Toyota have proved this by providing a fully operating hydrogen fuel system plant that runs on solar power that means it is costing them nothing to extract a product that is readily available in nearly everything around us. 💯👏👏👏 Let's not forget that the vat on fuel and road tax in the UK alone is billions of pounds to UK government. If we all went electric today do you still think your hybrid will be tax free 🤔 the only reason politicians want you to use electricity is because it is a cheaper alternative for them in terms of cost but its NOT environmentally friendly. to sum up. It saves them money. Hydrogen would cost them money and be far more environmentally friendly. Because basically if you mix hydrogen and oxygen you get water. Something I might also add we are told are lacking in. The only people that are sceptics of this are the oil mobs ie the USA and the Arabs. Funny that isn't it. The cost of converting the UK fuel stations to hydrogen is billions but yet we spend that yearly on nuclear power and other unnecessary things that we all know about and don't need to discuss.
