  • Shocker!!! I have hip dips. .
When I look at this photo, this is one of the last things I notice, so I’m going to assume it’s not something that 99 percent of you would have noticed without the huge arrows pointing to them.

My point is- nobody notices yours either. Not only is this NORMAL but it’s to do with your bone structure and how your body is pieced together. It’s like saying you want to change your feet.... COOL!

I’m only bringing this up, as the last time I did a post on ‘hip dips’ I actually received so many sad messages off girls who said they wanted to have Brazilian butt lifts or fat transfers in order to achieve that fake hour glass looks that has taken over reality television. So many girls said they felt they needed it to look prettier, their hip dips were ugly or one even argued her boyfriend preferred this look. (DUMP HIM BBZ)

Rather than focusing on those tiny bits of your body you don’t like, focus on the bits you do. The answer isn’t simply to change what you have, because there will always be another part of your body that you dislike. Perfection is not achievable. Rather just accentuate what you do like.

So in summary- my hip dips are there. I could fit a tennis ball in them. BUT my legs and back look just lovely.

I don't know who needs to hear this but there's no magic workout or exercise to get rid of hip dips. they're a result of your bone structure & that's something you can't change! hip dips are completely NORMAL.

I spent a long time hating mine, I won't lie, but now I embrace them & think they're pretty stinkin' cute. they're part of ME and my REAL. it took some time and a lot of mirror pep talks, but I know my worth doesn't lie in the shape of my body.

everyone has their insecurities and their bad days. believe me, I have my fair share of both. but we all have the choice to look in the mirror and embrace our REAL, NORMAL bodies & appreciate all that they do for us each and every day, despite the insecurities.

this is your reminder to be kind to yourself. you're stronger than you give yourself credit for. you are BEAUTIFUL.

  • The gym has been treating me good 🤪💪🏼 A lot of the times people ask me “oh how do u make time for the gym or how do u get the motivation to go?” Honestly motivation comes & goes. But habits last! So my advice would be make it a habit to go workout. Scientifically proven if u do something consistently for more than 30 days, it will eventually turn into a habit! How bad do you really want it? 🤔 #fitness #hipdips (also don’t get it twisted I don’t look like this 24/7 Lmfaoo, clearly I’m posing and flexing 💁🏽‍♀️)

The trend to get rid of hip dips is not gonna stop anytime soon I believe. Well, not as long as we let plastic surgery set our beauty standards. Women are always on the hunt for luscious curves - but remember! Marilyn Monroe had incredible curves yet she had dips herself!
🔻 First things first. WHY DO WE HAVE HIPDIPS? Well, blame the bone structure. We are all born with a hip bone and a femur bone and it’s the distance between these bones that decides how big of a dip we’ll have. It’s also the width of our hip bones and trochanter major that controls this. So with that being said, the size and form of our dips are very individual.
♦️ HOW DO WE FIX IT? I would absolutely love to share a tip that would fix this for you right away but I’m sorry to say, it ain’t gonna happen (not the natural way anyway, lol). If we look at the muscles we have on the outside of our hip are it’s mainly 2 & they ain’t big. Glute Medius is firmed like a pizza slice and lies under fascia (and covered even deeper is the glutes minimus). In front of medius is the TFL (tensor Fasciae Latae) the rest is basically fascia (connective tissue).
♦️ My personal beliefs is that you can not get these muscles to grow in volume that they’ll fill out any dip. Imagine if you were able to grow your quads by 300% you would have the biggest quad on this planet 😅. But if you’d be able to grow your medius or TFL with 300% it would barely be noticeable hence they’re so small to start with. The reason it’s “easy” to add volume to your Glute Maximus it’s because it’s a big muscle and it’s superficial.
♦️ I show you 3 exercises in this video that will work on your Glute Medius 1. Lateral step ups (or cursty lunges or side lunges) 2. Hip abduction (could also be performed in the chair or cable machine) 4. Clams (could also be performed with resistance band) and for some people with small dips this might help, but it won’t get rid of any real hip dips and it won’t get you wider hips. It will help with the over all looks of your whole butt area tho.

  • PT tonight.  Bloody hard going today but fun! 
talked body perception with my PT tonight. The more my body is changing lately the more I'm struggling to accept and love it. But it's a process. Others are struggling too. I wish they weren't but it is nice not to be struggling alone.
I am terrified of reverting to where I was and the unhealthy coping mechanisms I'd resort to.
Some days you just hate what you see in the mirror.
I feel like my legs aren't thicc anymore and I'm just a bit soft and flabby just now.
But i am trying to find something new every day and today I noticed my hip dips have reduced. Sad cause I quite liked them, stoked because it's a visible record of some extra fat that I've lost. 
I definitely see a change in shape to the glutes recently and that's nice. 
I wish I could be less shallow but here we are. Trying to grow, love and accept. 
And NONE of this means that if you are bigger or a different shape from me that i judge you.  I think all y'all beautiful. I'm just not capable of showing myself the same love. 
Anyway. I ache all over now. I literally grunted stepping up a kerb just now.

  • And for my next trick, I’m going to make my super loved (Thanks all you lovahs 😘😘) outfit disappear! 💃🏻 Well, just for my 5 second outdoor excursions, because I am SO not a jacket/coat person (I loathe restriction!!! I reuse to wear jackets in the store because that’s like fabric jail for me 😂😁) But this dark mocha coat deserves a shout out. I did not know how I was going to take to it. It’s heavy and full of material. BUT I think it adds a little something something to my look!!! Maybe it is my initiation into the Jedi world look it provides, or maybe it’s just the fabulous belt that makes it oh flattering, but I am pleased! 😁

It’s good for everyone, easy and no need any equipments, only need you to spare a few mins to get ur Core burned!!!👍🏻
I choose 7 different kinds of Plank for today’s menu. 
7 Plank Combo Challenge,  the KEY☝🏼is Non Stop in between. 😎
3 Sets is enough for me😅, this Plank Combo only takes me less than 4 mins for a set and its really worth of the time👉🏻exhausted....😂

I really enjoy working out in different gym's, meet new people, try new machines, see different faces and everything. .
This one i've been to today is really cute and i might get a second gym membership, i like the vibe they have there and i already made two new friends today🌚 also the lighting is sooo much better than in my gym which is important to me because i enjoy recording and sharing my fitness journes so its soo nice to have a light environment!!🌚💪🏽

So since I’m super busy but really want to start working out again after a short break, I decided to try something different. I recently started to read @bretcontreras1 book where he offers a few training programs. My training split is based of brett’s three day full body training program that I tweaked a bit to my liking where I’ll be working on my full body (obviously) but with a focus on my glutes. I’ll be training glutes 3-4 days per week. If anyone wants to try it with me I’ll leave it here:
DAY 1: Monday
Hip thrust pyramid (12/8/4/20)
Militairy press (10/8/6)
Globlet squat (3x8)
Inverted row (3xas many as possible)
B-stance goodmorning (3x8)
Shoulder press (3x12)
Side lying hip raise (3x10)
DAY 2: Thursday
B-stance hip thrust (3x6)
Bench press (10/8/6)
Reverse lunge (2x1min)
Pull up (3x as many as possible)
Single leg RDL (3x8)
Hip abduction (3x12)
Lateral side raises (3x12)

  • I was ALWAYS insecure about my “hip dips”. I would be bullied in the PE changing room often. It got to a point where in 8th grade I would stuff toilet paper or even ankle socks in the sides of my jeans to fill the gap because I was so embarrassed of them. It wasn’t until my mid-twenties when I decided to love myself and embrace my body for what it is. There is nothing wrong with me or my hips, this is my skeleton. This is how I’m built and I am beautiful. So are you. 🎻💓#normalizenormalbodies #hipdips
