  • God is willing to show to the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, that they may have an unshaken faith in it, to have a strong consolation. God had given Hezekiah repeated assurances of his favor; and yet, as if all were thought too little, that he might expect from him uncommon favors, a sign is given him, an uncommon sign. None that we know of having had an absolute promise of living a certain number of years to come, as Hezekiah had, God thought fit to confirm this unprecedented favour with a miracle. The sign was the going back of the shadow upon the sun-dial. The sun is a faithful measurer of time, andrejoices as a strong man to run a race; but he that set that clock a going can set it back when he pleases, and make it to return; for the Father of all lights is the director of them. #Godspurposesprevail #Godspromises #GodsWord #godsplan #godisgood #truth #feedyoursoul #bible #godisfaithful

  • The Lord hears our prayers, He sees and cares about them as well as every tear we cry. We are not abandoned, the Lord is near to those who in sorrow. Look at how many times the word mentions our tears cried out to Him, In this world we will have sorrow, but know that He has overcone the world and will never leave or forsake us. Psalm 56:8 You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”Psalm 126:5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Psalm 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. Psalm 80:5 You have fed them with the bread of tears and given them tears to drink in full measure.
Psalm 39:12 “Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; hold not your peace at my tears! For I am a sojourner with you, a guest, like all my fathers.
Psalm 6:6 ESV I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.
2 Kings 20:5 I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord

"What I have formed of ancient times, in an eternal counsel, now have I brought to pass’’ (for God does all according to the counsel of his will). God knows all going out and coming in, and had always an eye upon us, His puposes prevail, His will be done. #GodsWord #Godspurposesprevail #Godofangelarmies #Godspromises #Isaiah #Godsperfectplan

  • The "redeemed"by virtue of their being ransomed by Christ, they are by the grace of God turned from darkness to light, from the power of Satan unto God; being called by grace, and converted, they turn their backs on the world, and the men of it, and ask the way to Zion. Even to the church of God; and they find their way, being directed and brought there by the Lord himself; where they come readily and willingly, not only to hear the Gospel, but to submit to all ordinances. Singing pardoning grace; everyone of which blessings requires a song, and with which they are now affected, seeing their interest in them, and cannot forbear speaking of them to the glory of the divine seen in their countenances, and by the lifting up of their heads; and which oil of gladness, is poured upon them, and diffused all over them, the everlasting love of God, the everlasting covenant of his grace, and the everlasting righteousness and salvation by Christ; and, as to the principle and habit of it, which can never be lost, nor any man take it away. By having the presence of God, and communion with him; through His love being shed abroad in their hearts, with the gracious influences of the blessed Spirit and sorrow and grief will flee. #harvestworkers #HolySpirit #heavencome #heavenlyrealm #isaiah #wordmadeflesh #Godspurposesprevail #GodsWord #WordofGod #bible #Jesus

  • This chapter is recognized as a Hebrew poem of rare and superb beauty, one of the most glorious chapters in the Bible. It is a picture of the last-days church rising up out of the wilderness to shine in all the radiance of its glory. It is a picture of Eden restored as the kingdom-realm of God brings hope to the weak and struggling. “The Sacred Way” is the way of life in Christ as we live in heaven’s power and virtue. #isaiah #WordofGod #wordmadeflesh #Godofangelarmies #Godspurposesprevail

  • Say to them that are fearful or "hasty of heart" who are flying from the enemy; "hasty" in drawing black conclusions upon themselves and their state; not remembering or holding strong to the promises made to them, ready to doubt and call in question the power and providence from above. It must be said to them, be strong in faith, fear not the enemy, nor doubt of the fulfilment of divine promises, relating to their ruin and your safety...Your God will come with a vengence. Christ, who is God in our nature, God manifest in the flesh, and when he first came, he came with vengeance, and took vengeance on Satan and his works; on him, and his principalities, and powers, whom he spoiled and destroyed, as well as made an end of sin and abolished death. He came in his kingdom and power, and at the time of his spiritual coming he will destroy antichrist with the brightness of it, and avenge the blood of his servants. Since he has already come, and taken vengeance in some instances, this may serve to encourage, and perhaps the design of it is to encourage, the faith of God's people, with respect to his future coming. #Isaiah #wordmadeflesh #WordofGod #GodsWord #bible #Godspurposesprevail #Godspromises #yahweh

His spirit, gathered them; the Spirit of the mouth of the Lord, his power, and his providence; as he gathered all creatures to Adam, to give them names; and to Noah, to be preserved with him in the ark; so, by a secret instinct; will he gather together these creatures, to inhabit the desolate places of Edom or Rome. • The time appointed to take vengeance on antichrist, will come. The time in which he is to reign expired, then the Lord to avenge the blood of his saints; (Rev 18:20, 19:2), the church of God, which has been for many ages abused and injured by the antichristian powers, for which the Lord will have a controversy with them; he will appear in favor of his people, and plead the cause of Zion, and recompense their enemies for all the injuries they have done them; then they that have led into captivity shall go into captivity, and they that have killed with the sword shall be killed with it, (Rev 13:10 ) this will be a time of double recompence; and therefore it could be the word is used in the plural number; it will be the time of rewarding the antichrist as he has rewarded others; and it will be the time of the dead, that they will be judged, and rewards given to God's servants, the prophets (Rev 18:6, 11:8). #Isaiah #GodsWord #bible #Godspurposesprevail #WordofGod #wordmadeflesh

  • Proverbs 16:3-4 "Commit your work to the LORD and your plans will be established. The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble." I looked at my calendar and thought, "There's no way." How would everything get done? Have you ever felt this way?

In Proverbs 16, Solomon examines planning and work. The original Hebrew language provides interesting insights.
The word "commit" translates from gōl, meaning to roll. (Psalm 22:8; Psalm 37:5) And "work," or ma'ăśeḵā, means our actions, business, undertakings or achievements. God used the same word when He commanded a Sabbath rest from work.
Did you catch that? In the original language, Solomon urges us to roll our pursuits onto the Lord.
This may sound unusual, but consider this: we roll heavy things. We roll things we can't carry. We roll things too awkward or burdensome to bear alone.
God Himself will carry our burdens if only we roll them over to Him. Psalm 22:8 says we can roll ourselves and our causes onto the Lord, trusting He will deliver us.
On the other hand, it can be difficult to give Him what we're excited about or comfortable with. The dreams we cling to. The plans we crave. The roles we identify with. The comforts we know.
Human nature insists on independence, but Solomon advises humility. Instead of elevating our own plans, we can offer them to God with open hands, like children showing their Father a colorful drawing.
We can try to overcome obstacles or achieve goals in our own strength, but only the Lord grants success. He may bless our human plans, or He may not. (Psalm 37:23) Solomon reminds us later in the chapter, "The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps." In our burdens and our blessings, God's purposes — not ours — will prevail. Although God wants everyone to be saved, humanity has a choice in how to respond to Him. When we make poor choices, commit evil actions or reject Him, He can still use us. After all, even the wicked serve Him. But when we submit to God's plans instead, we invite Him to unveil something better, something only He can do.

God uses His kingdom community, the ekklesia, to model the new social order ( the new humanity ) that Jesus bought in through His ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension." This is how vital she is and how radically different from the world she is to be.

  • The church stands in the central hub of all that God has purposed, that's why she is equipped with the very Life of the Lord Jesus Christ: Which is God's divine, uncreated, Eternal, everlasting, indesructible Life!😇🤗She must have an incredible destiny to be so graciously furnished with this Life in overflow and utter abundance! She has worked tirelessly at proclaiming God’s essential redemptive purposes over the centuries. But perhaps she has camped out here and lost sight or never had the stunning vision God has purposed and planned for her.
In Ephesians One, the Apostle Paul presents a magnificent discourse of God’s Eternal Purpose. It's basically an outline of the entire divine programme! It's possible to live the Christian Life, despite having read, heard sermons on and studied these verses over and again, to completely miss the extraordinary revelation that lies at their core and the total relevance they hold for the church in every age. I had missed it for 25 years. Many have because we can’t see the forrest for the trees.
No one can unpack Gods Eternal Purpose in a post, or even a lifetime! However, it is the golden thread that runs through all of my posts.
The church can camp or glamp out, settling for what comtemporary traditional Christendom says it should or it can look at what God in Christ has been after since before the foundation of the world! And, consequently journey beyond this colourful clearing pictured here, into the "unsearchable riches of Christ." .

  • Many Christians are afraid or don’t understand the subject of spiritual warfare, but it’s real, and you will either win against darkness or darkness will win over you!
2 Corinthians 10:4 tells us,”For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds”
A stronghold is a place the devil has told you a lie, and you have believed it and are not walking in truth, it’s an area you continue to struggle in despite your prayers, but do not have freedom in yet. I am praying for you today, to learn how to fight, to know your enemy so you know how to fight him, and to put the armor of God over you and your loved ones! This subject is so real for me, because I struggled so long in my own walk with Christ and fighting the flesh until I gained wisdom in warfare and how to fight! It opens your eyes to see that you are not always fighting against people themselves or situations, but a spiritual force. As you grow in knowledge, you will grow in victory! #christianliving #putonthearmor #ephesians #studytheword #christiancounseling #godspurposesprevail #dontgiveup #askmetoday #iwillhelpyou

The Targum is, "for by his word they shall be gathered, and by his will they shall draw near.'' #Isaiah #WordofGod #GodsWord #bible #Godspurposesprevail

  • As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish ... so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. - Isaiah 55:10-11
