  • While packing for the move to New England next month, I found my molecular structure kits so thought I’d do a Fun With Coffee and Shapes. This will be back in full swing every week once I move but I thought it would be fun to scatter them in until I move.

Today we are taking glycolysis vs gluconeogenesis. Aka sugar metabolism.

Today’s shape is a regulator that determines which of those two metabolic processes a cell is participating in.

The two hormones that determine the presence of today’s shape are insulin and glucagon. In the presence of insulin, this shape is triggered creating a favorable energy creation (ATP) through glycolysis which is the preferred method of the body. But in the presence of glucagon, this shape is inhibited and the body is forced to go through the reverse of glycolysis to create Glucose and then ATP. This process is called gluconeogenesis. It is a much less favorable process as there are 3 very energy dependent steps to complete the process.

The formula of this bad boy is C6H12O12P2. But be careful there are two molecules that will come up if you google it. So be careful which one you guess as they have very different functions! Happy guessing!!

  • Bersenam adalah untuk meningkatkan dan mengekalkan metabolisme badan. Bersenam sahaja tidak boleh kurus tetapi bersenam dan kawalan pemakanan boleh membantu menurunkan berat badan dengan baik dan mengekalkan momentum metabolisme badan.

Bila consume look fiit dan mengamalkan gaya hidup sihat seperti bersenam 2-3 kali seminggu dapat membantu mengekalkan tahap metabolisme yang tinggi dan lagi cepat membakar gula dan lemak dengan sempurna kerana oksigen dalam darah lebih tinggi. 
Pemikiran kita juga akan lebih fokus bila kita bersenam. Tak heranlah kenapa Tun Mahathir di usia tua masih tajam pemikiran kerana Tun juga bersenam.

Tidak perlu senaman yang jitu dan extreme, cukup sekadar senaman ringan selama 30-45 minit 3 kali seminggu. Contohnya seperti berbasikal, briskwalking, threadmill dan lain-lain.

  • Some notes on the wonderful process of glycolysis! ✨ I’m really enjoying this to be honest... anddddd swipe to see a minute clip of me playing the opening of Dvorak’s cello concerto... I haven’t played this in about a year but I’m determined to bring it up to a proper performance standard finally instead of just average student level... (yes I know I’m too close to the fingerboard... don’t want to make TOO much racket in my flat...) so yeah... it’s out of tune, bad phrasing etc. but..... it’s a start. I love this piece so much and hope to make a lot out of it... I think it sounds a bit better with headphones despite bringing out intonation problems... but yeah... practice isn’t perfect... give me your thoughts on it if you want to! 🎶☺️ Swipe further if you want to see today’s lunch and dinner too - was very busy today so both were quick/easy meals! ☺️

⏩ Další ze série dopoledních atletických tréninků, dnes se zaměřením na laterální & více-směrovou rychlost a změnu směru.

První část tréninku jsme věnovali startovní rychlosti a technickým drilům, kde jsme se snažili zlepšit techniku 2 základních kroků v laterálním/bočním směru s využitím odporových gum:
➖Side step
➖Cross step/Crossover
.
V házené se tyto dva kroky nejčastěji objevují při defenzivní činnosti (side step) a při přechodu mezi bočním pohybem a pohybem vpřed (cross step, přechod z obranné činnosti do rychlého protiútoku).
.
Druhá část tréninku sloužila tzv. Stínování (defenzivní činnost s fokusem na Side step a Cross step) a práci na kondici (Fosfagenový systém/ATP-CP) s využitím agility drilu.
.
⏩ Another of the morning Athletic training with male handball players of MINAUR,  focused on lateral & multidirectional speed. In the first part of the training we worked on Acceleration Starts) and technical drills for 2 of main lateral steps using by @flexvit.band :
