When you think of your fitness goals what usually comes to one's mind first? + "Losing weight"
+ "Toning up"
+ " Improving overall health"
+ " Improving strength"
+ " Improving cardio"
+ " Grow a booty" •••
These are the main goals that I hear when I ask people about their fitness goals. Of course these goals are great, however, they're general and seeing results may take longer than some people would expect. Especially if the goal is an esthetic one. •••
This is why I like to ask my clients to create a performance goal. So not only do we have these general goals, we have one or two specific goals to work towards in our training sessions. When we attain these specific, performance goals, we are able to see and feel that true sense of achievement! This drives us to keep working hard!

💪Some examples of performance goals may be to achieve a pullup, achieve a weight on a certain exercise, run for 20 minutes without stopping, doing 10 regular pushups , etc, etc. •••
Here's my current performance goals:
+ Do 5 pullups in a row. (I'm currently at 3). This one has been tough for me 😫
+ Back squat 2 plates (225lbs). I JUST achieved this about a month ago. I started with 4 reps and now I'm able to do 8 reps by 4 sets! (This goal took me awhile to achieve as I had to be patient with my weight progressions and injuries as I corrected my muscle imbalances)
+ Complete sprint intervals for 30 minutes minimum with the sprint speed starting at 9mph.

Goals help keep us accountable. When we achieve our goals we feel accomplished, which keeps us motivated to keep moving forward and smashing more goals 🌟🌟❤

Tonight I'm laying low for dinner and making myself something at home so I can recharge for tomorrow. Plus @sara.haven has a date tonight and I don't want to be the 3rd wheel.
