The coloured bodies and the function represent the quality of the Nijmegen clay. Using different firing temperatures, the carafe shows the incredible variation of colours of the clay. And Polly Adams, whose thesis work centers around museum experiences, took interest in “Chapter 8: Personalization”, which looks at the Disney Magic Band and how in investing in this new technology, Disney “had managed to recast its cold business logic—the chance to turn over tables quicker by eliminating many aspects of the waiter service—into something a vacationing family of three had actually described as magic.”

  • Hieroglyphics revolution is a case study about the connection between the Egyptian revolution of 2011 and the traditional Egyptian art and system of writing: hieroglyphs. -
Flat composition and shapes are the main features of the Egyptian way of expression, and this usually happens in graphic design. - 
Firstly, it is plausible to consider graffiti as the most important act of disobedience during the revolution: Mia Gröndahl confirms it in his book ”Graffiti revolution”. - 
Secondly, hieroglyphs could be considered as a precocious form of icon design. -
In the end, the result of the case study is to confirm and exaggerate the need for Egyptians to express themselves in the way they know better: muralism.
It happens today as It used to be 5000 years ago.

To protect the immediate environment and avoid impinging on long-distance views, the main facilities building is bedded into the undulating hills, its roof hunkering down below the horizon, and its profile softened by its organic form and grassland covering.

  • [1/3] We begin every project from first principles, starting with finding what is most important for the client, place and the people who will experience it.

In 2014, we set a new sustainable standard for a difficult typology internally and externally by completing the sensitive task of building a 5574sqm motorway service area in the Cotswold landscape.

Sarah Dunning, CEO of client Westmorland, said of Gloucester Services: “Flanked by Area of Natural Beauty, it needs to look like it belonged there from the outside, with minimal landscape disruption."

I've been talking for some time now about sharing more on my creative process. So, here’s the first attempt to show what it’s like to work M81 Creative.⁣
⁣
My process can be simplified down to 3 steps. I started using this process years ago and constantly try to improve it. ⁣
⁣
Today I’m focusing on Step 1: DEFINE. I start with defining… well, everything!! I ask A LOT of questions, so my client’s time and participation is super important. Asking really good questions to uncover needs, motivations, opportunities and so on, helps make me a better, more solution-driven designer. ⁣
⁣
Also, the more work we do upfront to qualify information, the smoother the entire process goes with less revisions in the end. We get to the right idea, faster. ⁣
⁣
After we have met and complete our two hour brand discovery, I spend a week or two researching things further. I look at your industry, audience, competitors, other industries we can use as inspiration. I might come back to you with more questions and try to validate my research. ⁣
⁣
Once I feel confident I know the lay of the land, I move into Step 2: IDEATE. We’ll explore this step further next time!⁣

  • Wie alle Produkte brauchte auch dieses Buch einen narrativen Bogen. Ich habe einen Arbeitstitel: »Storytelling im Design Thinking«. Leser werden sich mit Menschen befassen. Das Buch verfolgt zwei Strategien: Exposition der Sache, eingebettet in die Geschichte dreier Figuren. Die drei Figuren entwickeln sich in einer Erzählstruktur – auch wenn der Plot sich nicht in einer Zeitstruktur wie im Kino entfaltet.

In der sachlichen Exposition müssen fünf Themen aufeinander aufbauen: (1) Narrative und darin die Leute aus ihrer je individuellen Sicht (2. Psychologie) und ihrer sozialen Position (3. Soziologie). (4) Grafische Darstellung und (5.) Design Thinking durch Storytelling. Alle Abschnitte aus den fünf Kapiteln benötigen die gleiche Struktur: Titel, Kurzfassung, ein halb- bis anderthalbseitiger Text, Illustrationen, sowie einen »Workshop«. Zum Ende der jeweiligen Sachthemen folgt eine »Quintessenz«. Diese Struktur ist angelehnt an didaktische Lehrerfahrungen.

Like all products, this book also need a narrative arc. I have a working title: »Storytelling in Design Thinking«. Readers will learn about people. The book follows two strategies: (1) exposing the issues, (2) embedded in the story of three characters. The three characters are developed in a narrative structure - even if the plot does not follow a time structure like in the cinema.

In the factual exposure, five topics must build on one another: (1) Narratives and people from their individual perspective (2nd psychology) and their social position (3rd sociology). (4) graphic representation and (5.) design thinking through storytelling. All sections from the five chapters need the same structure: title, short version, a one-and-a-half-page text, illustrations, and a »workshop«. At the end of each topic, there is a »quintessence«. This structure is based on didactic teaching experience. .......

    Like all products, this book also need a narrative arc. I have a working title: »Storytelling in Design Thinking«. Readers will learn about people. The book follows two strategies: (1) exposing the issues, (2) embedded in the story of three characters. The three characters are developed in a narrative structure - even if the plot does not follow a time structure like in the cinema.

    In the factual exposure, five topics must build on one another: (1) Narratives and people from their individual perspective (2nd psychology) and their social position (3rd sociology). (4) graphic representation and (5.) design thinking through storytelling. All sections from the five chapters need the same structure: title, short version, a one-and-a-half-page text, illustrations, and a »workshop«. At the end of each topic, there is a »quintessence«. This structure is based on didactic teaching experience. .......

They added the coloured tags with sizes to the hangers, which makes it easier for customers and helpers to find the particular size as fast as possible.
