  • Hidden Museum in the hustle & bustle of Delhi 💕
Sandwich between siri fort auditorium and siri fort sports complex, and almost hidden from the public view, is this museum run by Archaeological Survey of India, Museum surrounded by the ruins and lush greenery in South Delhi is one of those. The non-ticketed museum located right next to the 15th Century Siri Fort Wall in South Delhi and came up in 2008 with the view to familiarise children in the Capital through the replicas of significant heritage sites across, It’s so obscure that even the local autowallah don't know where it is. ⏳🏺
A stone table put up there tries to send a strong message across to children-" Education leaves a gap when student don't learn about less known monuments closeby. We are not aware of the heritage laws and we don't care, we are guilty" 😪
There was nobody in the museum when i went, going from various galleries of Indian historical statues, pottery work of indus valley civilization, crafts works like utensils and toys, replica of buddha, dancing girl of mohenjodaro, and various others faces of indian history. 🌍
The best thing was ‘Astitva’ (अस्तित्व) gallery, there is a possibility of it being closed when you visit but don’t get discouraged. Persist and you will have it opened for you.
They were privy to images of how monuments look when they are uncared for, or when they are abused by careless visitors. Displays explained the need to preserve the heritage as it’s only our’s to own.The ASI brilliantly weaves the tale of vandalism here. The exhibition designed by National Museum and Muhammed in 2008 has become a permanent feature. The site explains defacement and defiling of these sites through photographs and recreation of encroachments and illegal occupation of the monuments. Another gallery is dedicated to highlight the work of ASI through photographs of monuments showing them before and after construction 💕
It's open from Tuesday to Saturday ; 10am to 5pm, Entry is Free, Photography allowed and you should go once, if you love Indain Hritage and Art History 😊

  • Buttery Pao bhaji with extra onions soaked in lemon on the side to make your day! ⛈⚡️
Don’t lie to yourself and say that you don’t want that extra Pao. Mr Expositor believes in rewarding honesty with extra butter and onions. So, one or two?
