  • It’s been a crazy past two weeks and this fight camp has been extremely hectic with a bunch of up and down emotions, but this is the life my family wanted for me and it’s the job I signed up for. I need to be mentally ready to show up 100% and my plan is to finish this fight like no other to prove how strong I really am. We Can, We Will, Together, We Are, #TeamShorty #BraveCF #BraveCF29 #AndNew #Family #ShortyStrong

  • Guess what? It's another Chicago park! I love them and I can't help it! Here's my two cents on a jam-packed, tiny little park in the South Loop. |
Chicago Women's Park opened in 2000, with the plan to name it for Hillary Clinton. When she ran for Senate the park name was changed. The park is only about 3 acres, sitting in the midst of Prairie Avenue Historic District, making a quiet spot to slow down. It's also a neighborhood spot for movies in the park in the summer. |
Within the park sits Clarke House, the oldest surving structure within Chicago's original 1837 boundaries. The house, built in 1836, has been physically moved twice! The second time it was stuck in the air for two weeks. (Also not the only house in the neighborhood to move.) It currently operates as a museum showing off Chicago's early history, and its growth in the years leading up to the Civil War. |
The Clarke House is surrounded by small community garden plots. As you approach the house from the Prairie Avenue entrance you'll notice a memorial by the garden plots on one side. This memorial honors Jane Addams, one of Chicago's most famous and recognized residents. On each of the six stones sits hands signfiying her work and the many people she helped. (Swipe)

It's a lot of Chicago history packed into one little park. Right next to the park is Glessnor House, another historic home turned muesum. If you like books or music please go! The Glessnors were among the founders of the Chicago Symphony Orechestra (and she was a concernt level pianist), and had a beautiful library that remains currently in the home.

  • A neighborhood classic! Arlington International Racecourse holds events and races for all to see. Though racing will start again next year, there are still great events to attend throughout the off season!

Keep your eyes out because I might do a 10k giveaway of one of my prints in the near future. *likely after I get back from Iceland* 🇮🇸

  • When’s the last time you really asked for something you want💥? This could be talking to a friend, boss, writing it down on a list or literally just saying it out loud to yourself.

I’ve been feeling SO grateful and optimistic lately. I feel like so many things I’ve wanted for so long are finally turning into reality. It’s taken months of some really challenging and uncomfortable times, though. I’ve cried and failed multiple times, doubted myself, and questioned my path. I think it’s completely normal to let these feelings creep in, but it’s important to realize just because something gets difficult or takes a bit longer to build doesn’t mean the pursuit isn’t worth it. If it feels right in your gut, trust that and believe in it🙏🏼. When passion is the driving force, anything is possible. This week, I’ve realized how powerful manifestation really is with a few moments of happy tears☺️. Continue to believe in yourself, fight past discomfort to do what you love, visualize success, and ask for what you want. Reminder: you are worthy of everything that’s coming your way 💓💫✨. #manifestation #positivevibes
