  • The future is now and the future is Aztec! 🦾😳
The Italdesign Aztec was a spaceship-looking mid-engine two-seater from the future.

Although it looks like a concept car it's a legal, road-going version of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s 1988 Turin Motor Show prototype and is one of what is believed to have been 25 or fewer built during a planned 50-car production run by Japanese firm Compact.

The mid-mounted, turbocharged Audi 2.2-liter inline-five was specially tuned for the Aztec by Mayer MTM in Germany, and produced a claimed 250 horsepower when new. Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and an all-wheel drive system featuring Lancia Delta front and rear differentials. Body panels incorporate aluminum, carbon fiber, and Kevlar over a steel chassis. Individual canopies are hinged at the center to open in a gull-wing configuration, and act in conjunction with conventional front-hinged doors to allow entry into the split cabin. Each canopy is equipped with a removable plexiglass top bubble. Interfaces integrated into the rear quarter panels were designed to allow access to the cockpit and service areas via a set of three-digit codes.

  • Meet “Car Zero”🥶 The 1963 Jaguar E-Type Lightweight Sanction II✨
-One of seven new Lightweight E-Types built by Jaguar Classic
-Built to original 1963 specification; includes FIA and HTP documentation
-Wide-angle 300hp, 3.8-liter with triple Weber carburetors
-As-new condition with 717 miles

It's somthing like copy but cars are less expensive then oryginals, they look virtually identical to their forebears and because they're "sanctioned" they are produced with the blessing and co-operation of the original manufacturer.

These coveted next generation ‘Special GT’ E‑type cars were originally built in 1963 with new aluminium bodies to improve performance. But only 12 of the projected 18 were ever made. The six brand-new Lightweight E‑types that now completed their number, fifty years later, carry the original series chassis numbers of the ‘missing’ vehicles.

The original run was supposed to be 18 cars but seven continuation cars were built, and this one, "Car Zero", was used as the North American press car before being rebuilt and delivered to its private owner.
Tell me, what do you think about classic cars continuation?🤔

  • Widow Turbo Maker🕷😱
Back in the 90s, the Ruf CTR2 was literally the accomplishment of automotive industry. It was faster (354 kph) than the F50 and the XJ220, making it the fastest car of the production (until the McLaren F1), and it had the 580hp engine base of the Porsche 962 Le Mans. The RUF CTR2 weighed only 3040lbs. Acceleration was brisk, with the 0-62mph sprint taking just 3.6 seconds, and the 124mph mark passed in 11.4 seconds . Only 16 were made. •

  • Landscape After Battle🧯💨🔥👩‍🚒🚒💦 and 1 of 1,311 Ferrari F40 or what's left of it in details😳

The reason behind the fire is still unknown, however, it probably originated in the engine compartment. Considering how fast a car fire can spread, I doubt the Monaco Fire Department could have done anything better to save the car so it looks like the beautiful beast is beyond saving. What a waste!

And remember every driver needs to buy a simple kitchen fire extinguisher and keep it in their car just in case🧯💨🔥👍

📷: @smih_carspotting

  • Crazy little thing 🤪 Honda S800👌
The S800 is one of the most beautiful cars Honda has ever made. It’s a dainty, elegant car that’s about as far away from being aggressive as is possible. But with the right kind of alterations, it is possible to make it look like an angry bad boy.

It is the car of actor and producer Daniel Wu of Into The Badlands/Tomb Raider Fame.
Wu hasn't changed the core of the car and has kept its outstanding high-revving 8000rpm-capable 791cc inline-four engine and it was rebuilt to “new condition”. The new additions to the car are the exhaust system, standard S800 steel wheels widened by Toyo tires and of course, the nerve tingling Outlaw body kit featuring those massive wheel arches and a spoiler.
Tell me, what do you think about this little brawler?🤔

  • The stratosphere of design🌎💫
In the 70's the great design rivalry between Bertone and Pininfarina reached an all-time high. Bertone had opened the hostilities with the #Marzal and with the first “wedge-shaped” supercar concept, the mighty #AlfaRomeoCarabo . Italdesign had joined the fray with the #BizzarriniManta and the #AlfaRomeoIguana . Pininfarina had replied using all its Ferrari firepower with the striking #FerrariP5, the #Ferrari512SBerlinetta and the #FerrariModulo. But not even the outlandish Modulo, could really have prepared visitors of the 1970 Turin Motor Show just a few months later to what they were about to see on the Bertone stand. The car was officially labelled “Stratos HF.” Nuccio Bertone had initially wanted to call it “Stratolimite,” as in “limit of the stratosphere,” clearly inspired by its space-age design. But after some time, it came to be known simply by its internal nickname: Zero🥶
The futuristic bodywork was designed by Marcello Gandini, head designer at Bertone, and featured a 1.6 L Lancia Fulvia V4 engine.
Tell me, what do you think about Zer000 Stratos?🤔

  • The Forerunner of R8🧬 Audi Quattro Spyder 1991 was an early sign of Audi's intentions towards doing a mid-engine supercar. Audi had to drop the project because the "envisioned price of 100,000 German marks could not be met." So car was too expensive. Audi had already made brochures and scale models of the final product before cancelling the whole thing in the last second. It was a surprising decision taking into account the feedback was extremely encouraging following the car's debut. As such, it remained strictly as a concept, one that had a timeless design and borderline perfect proportions. Specs: mid-mounted 2.8-liter V6 with 172 hp and 245 Nm, five-speed manual gearbox, Quattro all-wheel drive, 1,100 kg weight.

I've always been a fan of Wiesmann cars. It’s a car inspired by those few with the courage, audacity and creativity to live by their own rules. Unfortunately the company was temporarily closed in May 2014, but is set to return with a new model, powered by a BMW M division-sourced V8 engine, meantime I present to you their previous model MF5.

Wiesmann GmbH best known for combining German innovation, engineering and design with classic British elegance and style

MF5 was the most mature proposal and the most exclusive model Wiesmann built. With a top speed of 310 km/h and completing the sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds the Wiesmann Roadster is strength, elegance and speed. Equipped with a V10 engine, 507 HP and 520 Nm torque, it’s a car that appeals to all the senses. What makes it even more exclusive is the limited edition of only 43 cars. The MF5 came in two version Roadster MF5 and GT MF5.

In fact, the Cobra is the most replicated car in history and the original models are well into the six-figures and climbing.
When Carroll Shelby dropped an American V8 engine into a lightweight British roadster, he created one of the most important American sports cars in motorsport history.
Is the original always better than the replica?🤔

  • Corse sounds like TURBO😳 and mean spicy🌶, full of taste😋 and powerful⚡️
Of all the cars to come from that hedonistic high-boost era, the Renault 5 Turbo is one of the few to still hold us in its thrall. In the early 80s before Group B came Group 4, where Lancia Stratos battled Ford Escorts, Porsches Fiat 131s and one of the era’s most distinctive cars, the Renault 5 Turbo. Rather than fight with front-wheel drive, Renault’s engineers dropped their 1.4-litre turbocharged engine between the rear wheels instead, and pumped up the bodywork to turn their shopping car into a stage ready monster.

Renault’s considerable Formula 1 derived turbocharging expertise was applied to the humble 1.4-litre overhead-valve engine, resulting in a power increase to 160bhp (in road trim), an output sufficient for a top speed of 260km/h and a 0-100km/h around 7 sec.
Jean Ragnotti took the competition car to three Monte Carlo Rally victories. Before eventually out-competed by four-wheel-drive Group B machines that proved faster on dirt.

Turbo Gullwing 🦅 from Munich🤯The E25 Turbo was built for the 1972 Olympics, held in Munich. With the E25, BMW was well ahead of its time in terms of design, aerodynamics and safety features and how they could be integrated into the design and shape. The Turbo's exterior was penned by the head of BMW design, Paul Bracq, and the actual car itself was built by Michelotti, in Turin But by looking at the E25 Turbo, it's quite obvious where the design language for the M1 came from. That same design language even made its way to the 8 Series.

In the 70's had put a greater focus on safety, so BMW used the Turbo as a lab rat for several technologies. It featured an integrated rollcage, a collapsible steering column and a radar-based brake distance warning system.

The Turbo featured turbocharged version of the engine from the BMW 2002. It developed 276 hp at 7100 rpm and reached 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. The top speed was 250 km/h. Weight: only 980kg. Only two were ever built.

Testing Ground🔬🦾🦿🥽💥 The Story, of Concept and some World Record. What you’re looking at here is a Volkswagen supercar. Volkswagen W12 Syncro mid-engined concept by Giugiaro designed to showcase the potential uses for Volkswagen's W12 engine.
In 1997. It was actually VW’s first sports car concept, powered by a 5.6-litre W12 engine producing 420 hp with Syncro four-wheel drive. The vehicle itself was designed by the Italdesign firm in Italy. Read more for a video and additional information.

Later on in life, the W12 became the 591bhp W12 Nardo, named after a record-breaking, 24-hour run at the eponymous Nardo Ring in Lecce, where the people’s supercar covered more than 4,800 miles at an average speed in excess of 200mph. Giugiaro’s Italdesign studio revised the W12’s styling for the Nardo version, which involved many vents and an extensive glass canopy.

Volkswagen’s dedication to the W engine arguably reached its zenith with the quad-turbocharged W16, as found in the back of the Bugatti Veyron, but the W12 wasn’t forgotten, with starring roles in the VW Phaeton and Touareg, as well as the Audi A8 and Bentley Continental.

  • What car best 'capture' the 80s?🤔 Gordon Gekko's😎 decade that brought us the Walkman📼, E.T.,👽 MTV,💃🕺 Nintendo🕹, shoulder pads, Pac-Man Duran Duran and Madonna. Some remember it fondly, others not so much, but what is certain about the 80s is that they introduced an amazing selection of cars.

So You Decide:

Maybe Lamborghini Countach. It seemed to capture everything that was so great about the 80s colour, angles and sci-fi.

or Iconic Testarossa one of the best cars to roll off the Ferrari production line in the 1980s, a powerful V12 supercar designed by Pininfarina. Testa was a great reflection of the big, bold and brash 80s.

If not then maybe the old good but Forever Young Porsche 911 Turbo, the symbol of each 80's stockbroker •

  • RePosted • @cartheberbant Meet Mr. Villain🦹‍♂️ The 1968 Dodge Charger R/T😎
Mythologized by the baddies in Bullitt, and then popularized by a pair of cousins never meanin’ no harm in Dukes of Hazzard, the wicked wedge shape of Chargers built from 1968–70 have become instantly recognizable shorthand for cool, fast, and ferocious.

The Charger 68 had been originally conceived to join the similarly-styled Plymouth Barracuda bid to beat back the enormously successful Ford Mustang. 68 Dodge Charger was a revelation in terms of sales for Chrysler; 96,000 (including over 17,000 Charger R/Ts.) were built for that model year alone, which was a huge improvement over the more lackluster movement of the ’66–67 editions, but as the muscle car era was nearly over so sales went down in next years.
Tell me, what do you think about Charger?🤔

This car blended the mechanical components and structure of a Beetle with a dapper Italian-designed 2+2 coupe.

The Volkswagen Karmann-Ghia Type 34. First introduced in 1962 and produced until 1967.
Motor: air-cooled, flat 4-cyl, 1,493 cc, 44 hp
Origin: Wolfsburg, West Germany
Production: 42,505

The beautiful body design incorporated a glassy greenhouse with an extremely smooth roofline and door pillars and creases in the body that wrapped around to both ends of the car and leisurely dropped down to the bumpers, forming creases over the head and tail lamps. Tell me, what do you think about this slow but beautiful Karmann-Ghia?🤔

Ferrari ➕ Zagato = Ferrari 250GT Zagato the most successful collaboration between Ferrari and Zagato, in 1956, and only a few were ever made for requesting clients.

But this is Ferrari 250GT Zagato "Sanction II" It's somthing like copy but cars are less expensive then oryginals, they look virtually identical to their forebears and because they're "sanctioned" they are produced with the blessing and co-operation of the original manufacturer.

In this case we have 1957 Ferrari 250 GT long wheelbase TDF which began life with a Boano steel body before, during the 1990s, being fitted with one of two Zagato-sanctioned 'double-bubble' bodies that mirrored the three others made in period.

  • For Your Eyes Only👀💨
What do Sharon Stone, Richard Gere, and Roger Moore have in common? Answer: They each drove a Lotus Esprit in a blockbuster Hollywood movie.
Proportionally, it was perfect, with a clean, contemporary design that was striking in its unfamiliar yet exotic cutting-edge beauty the work of Italian styling master Giorgetto Giugiaro, with a low-slung body and typical mid-engined supercar layout.

Unfortunately, that engine bay only housed a 162bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, although the later Esprit Turbo(in the photos) did redeem itself somewhat with 211bhp and was good for a top speed of 148mph, with 60 mph attainable in just 6.1 sec. The steel frame chassis was clothed in lightweight fibreglass bodywork, while the small engine meant overall kerb-weight was reined-in to under a tonne. The Esprit remains one of the most iconic and popular thoroughbred sports cars ever produced.
Tell me, what do you think about Turbo Esprit?🤔
