  • Dr Mariza talks about how she was all things for all people.  Does that resonate with you? I know it does for me.  And I’m learning! I’ve always known I can’t pour from an empty cup but until I started to allow myself to really rest I didn’t realize just how empty my cup had become.  Even still I struggle to not be all things for all people.  As a mom I hold a very large responsibility of keeping everything together going each day, every day.  But I’ve also been learning how to ask for help.  How to take an hour or a full day while they are gone to just sit.  Or do something for myself and not feel guilty. 
How are you going to write in a time to ‘rest’ this week?

I will say, it took very little effort to go for a walk with a bag to collect litter in it, and thankfully we didn’t see much! 💃🏻

  • Today is the official start of @davecoast’s #14dayreset and I can’t say enough how amazing it is to have informed people out there, giving the masses an opportunity to grow and challenge themselves to be their best. For the next 14 days, I will be consuming less than 15g of added sugars, walking 10,000 steps, picking up 5 pieces of trash, write, reuse, among a few other things that help build foundational habits! 🌎⚡️

  • So, Day 3 of my Detox. I made soup 🥣 to last me probably into next week for sure. I’m doing Green Superfood shakes every 2 hours, green juice for lunch and soup for dinner. This soup was spicy 🌶 and good. You’re supposed to strain the vegetables out but I’m not doing that, I need to freakin ‘ chew 😂! If you decide to follow this recipe and you’re detoxing, don’t add the oil. Don’t add the Wakame either because it high in iodine, which is GOOD, but it can be high in sodium, which is BAD, especially if you’re clearing your system. #detox #guthealingfood #healthyfood #detoxsoup #14dayreset #vegan #veganlife #vegangirl

  • Happy Sunday Ya'all!!!

Getting in a few minutes of quiet time!! When I woke up (WIDE AWAKE) at 5am... I decided I would have some coffee (with a scoop of amazing revital U cocoa), do my nails, and watch the hallmark channel! .
😜I thought it would last about 12 minutes and I would get interrupted and I would turn off my show and play video games with my hubby and my coffee would get cold and I would get breakfast for bub and the dog would wake up!! But... That hasn't happened!!! They are all still sleeping!! 😴

I absolutely love my revital U - I feel great!! I'm in a great mood!! My daily, constant endometriosis pain is managable, and I feel so ready to take on this Sunday!!!!! .
I absolutely love these #colorstreetnails and Im amazed at how easy they are!! I know October is a few days away!!! But I couldn't wait another day to use these (out of stock/last year's version) of the breast cancer awareness nails!! .

  • Here’s some meal inspiration from Kick Start group 
These are just some of their yummy meal prep they have had this week 
Some of these ladies are completing my 14 day body reset & will finish this Sunday & the others are completing either 21/28 days or 6 weeks with me 
All of them are taking responsibility for their food choices and understand that food is fuel - it’s as simple as that - you either put good fuel in & make yourself feel better, you have more energy & can go about daily life better, have a better mental health or exercise better (just like a car would run better & drive for longer with the correct fuel in it). Or you can fuel in which takes you further away from all of these things, which makes you feel sluggish, which leaves you with energy crashes & decreases your mental health.

On our programmes we like the 5:2 approach which allows for wiggle room 2 days a week should you need it. We then get rid of ‘food shaming’ and feeling like you’ve failed which leads to self sabotage.  Instead you have the option to enjoy 2 days a week where you can eat out, go to social events, enjoy time with friends & family not on the programme but still get the results you desire. 
And the most important thing is you don’t sabotage the whole progress. You jump straight back in to fuelling your body right again. 
This is not yo-yo dieting because this is NOT A DIET! this is healthy eating. This is living a normal life but with the amazing support network of having like minded people around you.

  • HOW WELL DO YOU SLEEP? Are you sleeping enough? It is important to sleep anywhere from 7-9 hours a night for proper detoxification and healing in our body. What to do if you need help sleeping better:
😴 CBD- a good quality cbd oil can help your body get into a calm state because of the effects of Cannabinoids in the body. I use about 30-60mg of cbd before bed and trust @yancenaturals.
😴 NIGHT ROUTINE- create a routine for yourself to get ready for bed every night. This can include a cup of tea, a face massage, yoga, meditation, a good read, a hot bath, dry brushing or all of them together ☺️.
😴 NO ELECTRONICS- no phone, tv, computer or blue light 1 hour before bed. If you do I recommend you get yourself a pair of blue light glasses. Also try turning off your WiFi during the night, EMFs studies show this can cause disturbance in the body.
😴 NO FOOD ON THE BED- try to eat your dinner 3 hours before bedtime. This will help your body digest properly and give your body the chance to repair instead of digest while sleeping.
😴MANAGE STRESS- keep your stress levels low during the day by practicing stress reducing strategies and self care. (Let me know in the comments if you want a post on this!).

  • It has been exactly 1 week since I started the 14 day reset program and I’m happy to say I have dropped 7 lbs even with heavy dosages of steroids in me.  On Monday I had an outpatient procedure to remove a large amount of calcium on my shoulder bone.  This makes 2 rounds of steroids in the month and anyone who has had the blessed/evil drug can tell you that you can gain weight fast and bloat up like a balloon! Before the reset my weight climbed up to 213 and for the 2nd day I am 205.4.
I’m excited to say this program has saved me!  I am NOT HUNGRY!  I repeat..I AM NOT HUNGRY since I have been following the meal plan.  My stomach is even flattening.  I have more energy!  I am even sleeping better because my reflux attacks are diminishing. 
Sept 26th, mark the date.  It will be exactly 1 year to the date I made the decision to change my life and care about what I put in my body and try to exercise with severe sciatica pain in both legs.  It was the date at my heaviest of 256 lbs. How much will I weigh?  Stay tune to see!

  • Day Two of the gourmet cleanse done and  still feeling good. 🤸🏼‍♀️🤸🏼‍♀️I was a little hungry in the afternoon but made myself a delicious thick smoothie and was back on track! 👌👌 A few things I ate on day two:
🥕 Carrot cake granola
🥤 Berry smoothie
🥗 Buddha-ful salad
🍫 Chocolate smoothie
🍛 Thai coconut chicken ...with food this amazing, I don’t like to call it a detox 😂 more like a gourmet eating plan!
