🏵️Aviri Kudumulu, softest clouds of puffy melt-in-mouth cousins of the humble idlis..soon vanishing from the modern kitchens. 🏵️Palli Chutney, simple roasted peanut green chilli chutney that's both spicy and tangy. 🏵️ Pappu Chaaru, similar to the well-known Sambar if only a tad bit sweeter.

So the batter for Aviri Kudumulu (literally translates to Steamed Dumplings) has Urad Dal as the main ingredient and very little Raw & Parboiled Rice. It is healthier than a regular Idli due to the rich protein content and it can help with stomach ulcers, help recover faster from illness and cool down the body too. Amma made this every single for a month after both the sister and I had severe chicken pox a few years ago.

So the recipe is very simple. 1 cup Urad Dal, 2 tbsp Parboiled/Idli Rice and 1 tbsp Raw/Dosa Rice. Soak overnight, grind until fluffy and smooth in grinder. Mix salt and ferment for 8hrs. Usually, it is made as one large Idli on cloth but for the ease of making, we use wet cloth on Idli plate.

  • SOLO DINNER 🙋🏻‍♀️ As much as this yummy B🌶MBA kale SALMON bowl brings me joy, I kinda wish I was enjoying it with the hubby 🥺 #needy . He is on another interview for fellowship, this time in Boston. It’s crazy how much I used to enjoy being I N D E P E N D E N T and now I miss him even if it’s for 1-2 days 😂 such is life! WBU? 〰️ Season salmon with sea salt, and @traderjoes Italian bomba sauce. Bake at 400 for 10-15 min ✨ Pan version: Heat avocado or olive oil on a pan. Add salmon, skin side up and cook 1-2 minutes on medium heat. Flip the salmon onto its skin. Cover and finish cooking 3-8 minutes (I usually do 6). ⁣
Pair with turmeric cauliflower (life hack on my stories) seasoned with my fave @simplyorganicfoods turmeric seasoning concoction (Let me know if you’d like the recipe!).⁣
〰️ cheesy” broccoli (@primalkitchenfoods avocado oil spray, nutritional yeast, garlic, sea salt and pepper. Bake at 400 for 15-25 min or until crispy. ⁣
〰️ @organicgirl romaine lettuce + kale and 🥑 drizzled with homemade Caesar dressing ✨

  • I go to the gym ugly af omg. I also go to ActiveSG gyms as well because going to studios for classes all the time is not going to help w my progress. It’s important to make sure you get the right form and movement as you increase weights and I have a problem with that! That’s why I go to the gym, to fix some postures during the exercises so that I will know I’m in the right form the next time I do it in classes.
