so i wanted to address something that so many of us struggle with: overthinking. it seems as if almost all of us continuously ponder over everything going on in our lives. we replay scenarios in our heads, trying to come up with ways we could’ve made them go better. we over-analyze other people’s words and try to search for hints and hidden meanings. we constantly remind ourselves of every single task we have yet to complete, despite the work we’ve already put in. we try to predict our future so that nothing comes as a surprise and throws us off track. but all of this thinking is EXHAUSTING.
i’m probably one of the worst overthinkers you’ll ever meet. but there are several things i remind myself on the daily that help to put my mind at ease:
you have no control over the actions and reactions of others.
the past is the past and you cannot change it. you can only do better next time.
when people are genuine, their actions match their words. if a person says one thing and does another, then you know how that person truly feels.
worrying about everything you have to do isn’t gonna help you accomplish anything. just get to work.
God has a plan and you’re going to end up wherever you’re supposed to be. 🦋

✰Today I had my LAST four hour chemistry lab of the semester & I am so so thankful lol. Those labs were not my favorite AT ALL. I’m going to cherish this break I have from lab until next semester when I’m back with a chem 2 lab 😰
✰Tuesday’s are the days I usually take off from the gym due to my long morning lecture & even longer afternoon lab. I’m sooo looking forward to my workout tomorrow where I will hopefully set some new PRs!!!

But on a real note, I’ve got 4 finals coming up and a big project due and then I’m DONE with the semester (hallelujah praise the lerd). On the gym side, I’ve been super motivated and lifting pretty heaving. I’ve been really enjoying my time in the gym! I go through highs and lows throughout the year and sometimes it’s really tough to find motivation to get into the gym much less enjoy being there. Going through the lows make me super grateful when I’m in the high, just like anything in life. Sometimes, you just have to remind yourself why you started and how far you’ve come!
