  • “What is the best meal prep container to use after weight loss surgery?” 🤷🏻‍♀️
•
This is one of the first questions I receive when someone starts to meal prep. It really depends on what you need. •
•
Here are some basic guidelines to go by👇🏽•
•
👉🏼 Choose a small container between 1/2-1 cup of less than 6 months after surgery •
•
👉🏼 Use glass if preparing more “tomato like” foods because they can stain plastic.•
•
👉🏼 Use 1-2 cup portion size if more than 6 months after surgery. Yes, 1-2 cups is likely more than you can eat but it makes it nice when your food is not crammed inside.•
•
👉🏼 Choose containers with leak proof lids if transporting liquid food items like soup. •
👉🏼 Consider using toddler bento boxes for portion control.•
•
👉🏼 Choose BPA free plastic of you want something light to carry. Glass can be heavy in a purse. •
•
👉🏼 Use mason jars for easy and affordable transport •
•
There are lots of different containers. It’s all about what works for you and what inspires you to meal prep. I complied a list on my website if you want specific brand ideas. I will share in my stories•
•
Please share which meal prep containers do you use? •
