아이들에게 교육적인 효과를 극대화하기 위해 더 곳곳에, 더 크게 여러 건축물들을 배치하였다구 한다
비교를 안할래야 안할 수가 없구만,, ⠀

  • 1 &2: The Holocaust Memorial in Berlin is one of
the most moving and unnerving pieces of art on the planet. It
takes up much of a city block, cars driving by, people sitting on
the stones chatting or having lunch. But as you enter, the floor
slowly descends so that what appears to be even stone slabs
from the outside/perimeter becomes a dark labyrinth towering
above you and you can't find your way out. You see glimpses of
the business as usual city beyond its borders through the
cracks, hear disconnected voices, parents looking for their kids,
other visitors cross your path trying to make their way out too,
sunshine overhead, but you are in the shadows unseen. You are
GONE. 3: The Holocaust Museum personalizes the horror. These
six photos represent the 6 million Jews (and Roma, socialists,
communists, disabled, etc) killed by the Nazis. 4: "t happened
before, it can happen again" Take heed. 5. The location of
Hitler's Bunker, today a nondescript parking lot, unmarked.
Without going into detail let's just say I "marked" the spot of
Hitler's (and Goebbel's) death today.

  • Yesterday we went and saw the memorial to the murdered Jews of the Holocaust in WW2 . Its an experience you just can’t describe unless you see it for yourself. Whether your into history or not, I can’t recommend it enough.
The architect was an American Jew who designed 2711 concrete slabs, all different heights and angles. To this day, he has never said why he chose 2711 slabs, why they were all different heights and angles which we found was so smart and empowering because it gives everyone that visits a chance to come up with an idea as to what they think it means not just as a memorial but to them as a person.

The last picture is of hitlers bunker. Why is it just a car park you might be asking yourself.. well it’s quite simple. Who wants to recognise a man that committed one of the worst atrocities ever seen with a memorial or plaque? Not me.

  • Памятник жертвам Холокоста — это тысячи плит разной высоты. Сперва небольшие, словно могилы. Потом всё выше и выше. И вот они уже обступают тебя, отрезают от внешнего мира и людей. Очень сильный образ.
